There are standards developed by the Wiki community concerning articles of Japanese culture.

Wiki distinguishes the names of people born before and after 1868: before 1868, Japanese order (Family name, First name) is used; after 1868, Western order ( First name, Family name) is used. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style (Japan-related articles)#Names. 窪田孝行 was born after 1868: in Wiki, he is referred to as Takayuki Kubota.

Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_(biographies)#Honorific_prefixes discusses the use of titles; Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Martial_arts#Contradiction has a discussion of the Wiki Martial Arts project usage recommendations. Briefly, to say 'Takayuki Kubota is Soke' or 'Takayuki Kubota is Grand Master' is acceptable (and should have a reference.) Nobody here means disrespect to 宗家窪田孝行 when he is referred to as 'Takayuki Kubota' or 'Kubota' in the article.

Stop by at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Martial_arts to see other activities in martial arts in Wikipedia. jmcw (talk) 21:24, 7 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Soke Takayuki Kubota. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - :{article}. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at :{article} - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest this deletion by adding hangon to the top of the article you created (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on Talk:Soke Takayuki Kubota explaining your position, although an administrator may still believe deletion to be necessary. Regardless, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, as this is forbidden under the arcane rules of Wikipedia. If you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Scjessey (talk) 14:13, 8 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Soke Takayuki Kubota, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a hangon tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Scjessey (talk) 14:19, 8 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Soke Takayuki Kubota. Please use the hangon template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Scjessey (talk) 14:22, 8 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Soke Takayuki Kubota. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Scjessey (talk) 14:34, 8 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please do not delete content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Takayuki Kubota, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. --DAJF (talk) 14:38, 8 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Warning

edit

Your editing is currently being discussed at the Administrators' notice board here.

Please be careful not to engage in edit wars with other editors. Edit warring and reverting are specifically against Wikipedia policy, and will result in your account being blocked if you continue. You should also take a look at our three-revert rule, and note that breaking this always results in a block and that three reverts isn't an entitlement. You are encouraged to discuss your edits with other editors on the article talk page so that agreement can be reached between you. This is especially important where your edits are going against a previous consensus.

Please take note of the above. If you engage in edit warring again, I or another of Wikipedia's administrators will be forced to apply sanctions to this account. EyeSerenetalk 20:11, 8 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sock Puppet / Meat Puppet Warning

edit

You are suspected of being a sock-puppet, which means that someone suspects you of using multiple Wikipedia accounts for prohibited purposes. See [1]. Please read the Wiki guidelines and consider your relationship to User:Sensei_0208. You are warned: continued editing as a sockpuppet could lead to the accounts being banned. jmcw (talk) 10:38, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

December 2009 (ctd.)

edit

Please stop. If you continue to use disruptive, inappropriate or hard to read formatting, as you did in Takayuki Kubota, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. There is a Manual of Style that should be followed. --DAJF (talk) 16:07, 11 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sockpuppetry case

edit

You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Yakudza19 for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. DAJF (talk) 12:45, 14 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Edit Warring Warning

edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. See: [2] [3] [4] [5] jmcw (talk) 12:47, 14 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
