Roger Cook

edit

this edit to Bloomfield High School (New Jersey) added a source from Classmates.com as a source. The problem is that the web site is not a reliable source, and even if it were, there any way to know that this is the Roger Cook in question. As such, the source will be removed. I have searched for sources in Google News / Archive and been unable to find anything. The sources needs to be a reliable and verifiable source from an independent book, newspaper or magazine that would establish that this Roger Cook, the graphic designer, attended Bloomfield High School. Hi Alansohn , I am a reliable source, I work at the Bloomfield High school in NJ. Roger Cook the graphic artist is on our wall of fame and in our 1949 year book.

  • I don't doubt that the information is correct. But you may want to view the Wikipedia:Reliable sources policy, which requires independent reliable and verifiable sources from publications such as books, magazines and newspapers. Even a reference to the 1949 year book would only establish that a person named Roger Cook attended the school, not that it was this Roger Cook. In the case of John A. Gibson, Wikipedia cannot be used to provide a source for itself, again, the source must be an independent source. If you can provide any independent sources, I would be more than happy to arrange the information in the proper format.

License tagging for File:FrankTripucka.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:FrankTripucka.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 05:06, 4 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for File:Hawaii calls during WW11.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Hawaii calls during WW11.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 08:50, 24 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
