Hello, thanks for your response. Regarding your concern about the article's one-sidedness: I think you will face a great challenge trying to convince other Wikipedians that there was anything "good" about Italy's invasion of Ethiopia (or more generally, any time one country invades and colonizes another country). You acknowledged that Abyssinia's own imperialism did not justify the Italian invasion, but is there any justification that could possibly cast the Italians in a more positive light, and adhere to Wikipedia's neutral point-of-view policy? I think the best thing that you could do is cite your source that Ethiopia committed war crimes.

Regarding Ethiopia's imperialism and minority-rule: this is, of course, valid criticism, but I'm not sure why it is relevant to the Second Italo-Abyssinian War article. In the context of this article, you need to document how and why Ethiopia violated the Geneva Convention while defending itself from an invader. Now then, if the Italian invasion somehow led to Ethiopian war crimes against its own people, that would be relevant, but again one would have to cite sources (and this is completely hypothetical on my part, as I've not heard of any such activity). Ethiopia's imperial legacy is more appropriately covered under History of Ethiopia, etc. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 21:11, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
