- Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
- Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
- In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
- Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
- Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like
<ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>
, copy the whole thing). - In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
- If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
==References== {{Reflist}}
Renaming articles
editHi, welcome to Wikipedia. I just wanted to take a moment to first thank you for your enthusiasm, but second to suggest you take things a little slower with respect to renaming articles. Article titles can be very contentious, and should only be renamed with care. Please do read talk pages first to see if there have been past renaming discussions, and, ideally, if you are proposing a major page title change, start a move request discussion. In some of your other edits, I have also noticed that you have not cite sources. Please remember to make sure to cite either existing of new sources when making major page changes. Otherwise, happy editing. Iskandar323 (talk) 08:09, 18 June 2022 (UTC)

. Girth Summit (blether) 15:04, 18 June 2022 (UTC)The article Ubayd Allah ibn Abbas has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Article was created by banned user SheryOfficial (SPI for ShabberMojtaba; SPI for 119.73.112.214 and 119.63.138.181) and any edits by other users were purely cosmetic. SheryOfficial is an LTA who cannot be trusted to act in good faith. Unless someone is willing to verify the given information in the sources cited, the article should be deleted.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 09:01, 13 July 2022 (UTC)
