User Scuro

edit

I notice you had a minor confrontation with another editor in the discussion page for the "ADHD Controversy" article. Don't let it put you off the Wikipedia. Nothing is perfect, and sometimes you get manipulative, agenda-pushing editors who take advantage of the system. I realise it can be frustrating, but the best thing you can do is keep your cool. Regards, --Tzler 10:44, 29 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Okay, thanks for the heads up. I know that I certainly have the upper hand against him, I just do not desire to be on here 24 hours a day like he is.

The purpose of talk is to improve the article. Please stick to the task at hand.--scuro 11:34, 16 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

It's funny that you post these comments on my page while you do the exact same thing, and expect nobody to answer you. Please stop throwing subtle barbs at other people, they're not stupid.

ADHD controversy talk page

edit

I removed the conversation that you started on 25 February 2008 because it appeared to be a personal attack on User:Scuro. Please direct any personal comments to his talk page. The language you used was inflammatory so please be more civil in the future. Sifaka talk 03:23, 26 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I removed your most recent comment [1] for the same reason as I removed the previous one. The talk page of the article is supposed to be used to discuss the content of an article and how it may be improved. Without a specific objection to an edit that Scuro has made, your comment appears to be an ad hominem argument and is thus inappropriate for the article talk page. There is no precedent for warning other users about a particular user on the article's talk page. If you have an issue with User:Scuro, you should consider looking at the various options presented under Wikipedia:Dispute resolution. Scuro is allowed to edit any page that he has the user privileges to edit unless explicitly ordered by an appropriate authority, no matter what he may have said earlier. I am going to post the comment thread on Scuro's page as well as a link to this discussion. Sifaka talk 02:56, 29 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
I have informed User:Scuro. If you wish to reply to my comments above, please do so on this talk page or my talk page. Sifaka talk 03:24, 29 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

second warning, no personal attacks

edit

Once again I ask that you focus on content and not other editors. This is wikipolicy. WP:NPA. "Do not make personal attacks anywhere in Wikipedia. Comment on content, not on the contributor. Personal attacks will not help you make a point; they hurt the Wikipedia community and deter users from helping to create a good encyclopedia". Further personal attacks will be met with WP:DR The specific passage that I am making reference to is http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Attention-deficit_hyperactivity_disorder:_controversies&diff=194801998&oldid=194090930. There are other recent examples also. Thank you, --scuro (talk) 22:34, 1 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I would suggest that you not try to make yourself look like the innocent one here; you're far from that. You personally attacked me a LOT from what I remember, just not in 'obvious' ways. Maybe you should take your own advice. And as for 'warning' me, well, I don't care, because you're full of it.

ECT-Electroconvulsive Therapy

edit

This is in reference to your recent comment in the discussion pages of the ECT article.

Please explain why you think that page requires you to make a "major edit" for a "more realistic worldview" on ECT, and explain the what, why, etc of the editing you plan. Do not forget to include your citations, as the discussion page should not reflect yet another editing war again. Thanks Brattysoul (talk) 03:58, 14 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
