Please tag a few wikinews editors here
edit@Agastya Chandrakant: thanks for reading through. You will be surprised today when I was discussing this idea, someone himself told (before I could tell), "no one reads wikinews" :P Can you tag a few (3-4) active wikinews editors (specially from India), so that we can discuss this and have an awesome wikinews website. I am also working with different blog websites etc. We are creating a common central database for information sharing, for writing more effective-factual-evidence-reference-driven blogs etc. I can ask the same bloggers/online activists to actively contribute to wikinews as well ... many ideas in mind. The central theme is having NPoV and well cited news, not paid news, having DataDriveNews and working towards DataDrivenDemocracy.
- I believe, *opinions* and facts are different. One person says nobody reads Wikinews. Okay. Probably he/she does not. And his or her colleagues do not, or probably many people actually do not refer wikinews. But that doesn not prove nobody reads it. You would find this tool helpful. As of now, India discontinues ₹500, ₹1000 denominations; releases ₹2000 and new ₹500 bills received 5,482 views. As compared to India's population, or the world's population, this seems to be a small number, but, it feels good to have 5,482 views on the article I have written. For me, it is a significant number. On a relative scale, this would be very small, but it does not mean "no one reads wikinews". I do not know much about DataDriveNews or DataDrivenDemocracy. Also, I don't think there are currently active contributors on Wikinews from India. (Well, Junosoon created to a news article from India. xhe might want to join) I would like to know what ideas you have to propose. But, the ping did not work for me.
