Shawn McMillan is a 40 year old native of San Diego, California. He holds an undergraduate degree (BA) from the University of California, San Diego in Chinese Studies with a concentration in Pacific trade.

Having worked in the then developing personal computer and consumer electronics business from 1986 through 1999 as corporate secretary and Vice President of Market Development for a Apex Wholesale, Inc., a local wholesale computer component manufacturing/distribution company, Mr. McMillan has substantial experience in developing markets in Asia and Latin America. Mr. McMillan speaks some measure of Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. He also holds a Juris Doctorate from Western Sierra Law School, and is an active member in good standing of the California Bar. From 2000 through the present Mr. McMillan has maintained an active trial practice concentrating on business dispute litigation, shareholder dispute litigation, and Chapter 11 restructuring. Most recently Mr. McMillan was nominated for, and selected as, the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association "Top Gun" trial attorney of the year in the area of Civil Rights for his work in the land mark parental rights case: Deanna Fogarty-Hardwick v. Orange County Social Services, et al. [1][2][3][4][5].Mr. McMillan is the Vice-President and director of the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce of San Diego, and sits on the Board of Directors of the Asian Business Association of San Diego. He is also a member of the Lincoln Club of San Diego, the San Diego County Bar Association, The Orange County Trial Lawyers Association, The San Diego Association of Business Trial Lawyers, and the Louis M. Welsh chapter of the American Inns of Court.
