Assassin (disambiguation)

edit

Please note that disambiguation pages like Assassin (disambiguation) are meant to help readers find a specific existing article quickly and easily. For that reason, they have guidelines that are different from articles. From the Wikipedia:Disambiguation dos and don'ts you should:

  • Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
  • Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
  • Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry that mentions the title being disambiguated
  • Only add a "red link" if used in existing articles, and include a "blue link" to an appropriate article
  • Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
  • Do not insert external links or references - Wikipedia is not a business directory

Thank you! I apparently did not do my due diligence in looking into disambiguation page formatting (which I have now done). You look quite experienced in the area, though---would you mind if I reached out for feedback next time I make a disambiguation edit, just to make sure it looks kosher and constructive? I'd be happy to help, if I can. But make sure to {{ping}} me, or leave a message on my talk page - I ran across this message by chance. Leschnei (talk) 00:09, 30 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please don't change the format of dates, as you did to Yellow Emperor. As a general rule, if an article has evolved using predominantly one format, the dates should be left in the format they were originally written in, unless there are reasons for changing it based on strong national ties to the topic. Please also note that Wikipedia does not use ordinal suffixes (e.g., st, nd, th), articles, or leading zeros on dates.

For more information about how dates should be written on Wikipedia, please see this page.

If you have any questions about this, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Enjoy your time on Wikipedia. Thank you. Remsense 02:53, 26 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

It seems much of your other edits to that article are changing optional stylistic choices, so please be wary of Wikipedia:Manual of Style#Retaining existing styles generally. Remsense 02:58, 26 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Remsense: Thank you very much for the direct feedback. It seems I got a little carried away with my personal stylistic preferences, and I appreciate the reminder that consistency takes priority. I may reimplement some of my edits to Yellow Emperor, but I will be much more conservative with them. Shawrkat (talk) 17:55, 26 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
