Color vision
editYou were on a good track, but your latest edit, which I reverted, went astray, I think. E.g. you wrote "It is important to note that the RGB color model only approximates human perception, while other color models, such as the CIE 1931 color space, are more directly related to the types of cones in the human eye." That's not true. CIE 1931 includes an RGB that represents human vision exactly as well as their other spaces. None are based on cones; they are based on psychophysical color matching, which presumably find the same 3D subspace of spectral space as is spanned by the 3 cone sensitivities. Don't confuse XYZ space with SML space. Dicklyon (talk) 23:13, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
