Mandatory paid editing disclosure

Hello Sherald44. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, and that you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Thanks for the disclosure. As to the draft article you created, I suggest you start over. It was deleted because it was apparent that you wrote the article for publicity or promotional purposes, rather than to further the goals of the Wikipedia project. Wikipedia isn't a publicity platform. Also have a look at Wikipedia:Golden rule for a brief overview of what we expect to see in a draft article before accepting it into main space. ~Anachronist (talk) 17:36, 2 May 2018 (UTC)

Hello, Sherald44. Thank you for helping to build Wikipedia-- the world's largest free content encyclopedia. I'm sorry, but  User:Sherald44/sandbox has been deleted as meeting WP:CSD#G11. "This applies to pages that are exclusively promotional and would need to be fundamentally rewritten to conform with Wikipedia:NOTFORPROMOTION." These must be rewritten from scratch from "reliable, third party sources unconnected to the subject." See WP:RS.

Wikipedia:Identifying blatant advertising#Typical signs of blatant advertising contains information about content to avoid. For more information on content that may be perceived as promotional, click User:Dlohcierekim/promo. These are just rough guides. Pages can avoid all those pitfalls and still be glaringly obvious ad copy. Sometimes pages meeting WP:CSD#G11 give the appearance of an editor violating Wikipedia:Conflict of interest or WP:PAID. Please read and heed them if they apply to you.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources that are unconnected with the subject and providing verifiable information. That generally means someone unconnected with the subject needs to have written a great deal about the subject. Please see Wikipedia:Citing sources . Template:cite has templates you can use in citing your sources. Place the template {{references}} at the bottom of the page, and references cited in the text will appear there.

Thanks for the links to resources. My intention is to rewrite the article entirely. I just copied the previous article I wrote so I could have access to the references, some of which I intend to delete.
