Citizen/Soldier

Hi! I just wanted to bring up something that you edited on the 3 Doors Down article. I noticed that you removed the Citizen/Soldier title off of the music video list. A couple users were posting this information uncited and I reverted it until I was able to provide citations to support the edit. I realize that the video isn't widely knowm, but it does exist and I do believe that it is valid. Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice

Hi,

As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.

We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.

You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.

Could you please

...join my campaign for all illegal drug users to be executed, if their home state allows it, otherwise life imprisonment. Of course because alcohol and tobacco are completely safe, these would not be included, in fact I propose to remove all taxes, age limits and health warnings on these products. Um, are you really Xania? Cause I visited the userpage for "Xania" on both wikipedia and wikibooks and there is nothing about drugs at all. Soundgarden

Hey, just to clear things up. The Template:Infobox musical artist is more of a guideline. Because bands like Soundgarden (or 80s/90s Seattle bands in general) have quite a few bands in common, in my opinion it is best to keep it to those directly related. Matt Cameron was one of many drummers Skin Yard had and his tenure was quite short in comparison to other members. Thats just my view but maybe it's best to discuss it on the talk page? :) HrZ (talk) 10:43, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

It's ok, I understand better now. It just threw me off because some bands only have a couple of bands with one or more members from them as "related" and yet I've also seen bands with a bunch of random unrelated bands, that are only similar in musical style, listed as "related". You, sir, are my new Wikipedia idol. I saw your name on the list of native English speakers right before my own and, out of curiosity came to your user page. As it turns out, we agree on a great many subjects. For example, I too am a Democrat, an American, and a fan of Sherlock Holmes, though not in that order, more like, Holmes fan, American, Democrat. In fact, there are only a few points on which we disagree, and even those are minor. Really, it's quite trippy. Anyway, I just felt that I should reach out to another Wikipedian, as a new member of the community. (Also, I hope you don't find this creepy, as that was very much not my intent. I'm also not hitting on you, don't think that either. This is a completely innocuous fan message, although it may seem weird at times, like stressing the fact that it is an innocuous fan message. But really, no malicious intent. Seriously. None at all.)
