Your speedy deletion tags

edit

I would suggest that you read WP:CSD#A7. Notability at CSD only comes into A9, which is rather a special case. Speedy deletion for 'questionable notability' is not valid, and you seem to be picking some people to tag rather unnecessarily. When I saw Edina Ronay on the list, my first thought was "What the hell?". I take very little interest in models, actresses and fashion designers, but even I knew that name straight away. Some of the older articles on Wikipedia are not referenced as well as more recent ones, but the requirements then were lower. This is no reason to tag for speedy deletion. If you are querying notability, WP:AFD is the place for that, not CSD. Peridon (talk) 16:53, 16 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

  • Thank you for your explanation. I shall read the guidelines. And you are right in the fact that the article about Edina Ronay is older and therefore is less well-sourced.--Sheroddy (talk) 16:59, 16 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Tagging of Oliver M. Gruber-Lavin Ochoa

edit

I recently removed a speedy delete tag that you had placed on Oliver M. Gruber-Lavin Ochoa. I do not think that Oliver M. Gruber-Lavin Ochoa fits any of the speedy deletion criteria  because "Not notable and clearly made by somebody close to the subject or the subject itself. No sources on the internet about the subject except for its own personal or professional pages" is not a valid speedy deletion reason. This clearly makes a claim of significence so it is not subject to A7. Sources need not be online. COI editing is not grounds for deletion. The article is not blatantly promotional. Take it to AfD if you choose.. I request that you consider not re-tagging Oliver M. Gruber-Lavin Ochoa for speedy deletion without discussing the matter on the appropriate talk page. Business Services Association

edit

I removed the AFD tag you placed on this article, because it linked to the previous AFD that was closed as Keep in June 2015. You didn't seem to post a rationale on the talk page, or create a second debate and post a rationale there, so there was no link to correct. Please feel free to re-nominate the article and complete the steps for a second nomination - though a recent AFD in June might make it harder to find consensus for deletion. FYI. Please read WP:BEFORE

edit

hello, please read WP:BEFORE before you nominate more articles for deletion. When you nominate clearly notable subjects for deletion such as your nomination of Tzaims Luksus, you are wasting the time of those who contribute to AfD's. You need to do a genuine search for sources and compare those sources to the criteria at WP:GNG. Since your stats for AfD nomination are only 60% successful, it's clear that you would benefit from doing some research before nominating articles so quickly for deletion.
