Hello, I'm Yamaguchi先生. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Madhu Balakrishnan, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 19:07, 10 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

DGZmedia.com

Re: this edit, dgzmedia.com is not a reliable source, and "highly positive reviews" is puffery. What does that mean exactly? Does that mean that one or two reviewers said "this film is amazing!" or does it mean that 90% of reviewers said "this film is good"? Does it mean something other than that? It's hard to tell, because, surprise surprise, it's vague puffery. Don't use hyperbolic language like this in the future, and be sure that you're using proper references. See WP:ICTF#Guidelines on sources for a general list of sites that are and are not considered reliable in the context of Indian entertainment. The mere existence of a website/blog/portal does not mean that the site is reliable or run by people who know what they're talking about. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 06:41, 8 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Re: your comments on my talk page, there is seldom an issue with "versioning" being amiss, and I can tell you exactly what happened in this case: Yes, you made a mistake, but after analysis, it was not clearly disruption, so I'm striking through my admonishment. Here's what happened:
You had an old version of the page open, which you then edited. If we take a version of the article from 17 hours before your change, and compare it to your edit, the net result appears to be a simple name fix: Bijosh to Vijay.
But if you look at the intermediate edits, (by starting here and clicking "next edit" a bunch of times) you'll see that there were a number of edits in between that one and yours. Someone added an accidental line break, DGZmedia.com was removed along with "highly positive" puffery, Govind Menon becomes GV Prakash Kumar. Comparing your edit to the version of the page immediately before your edit, those intermediate changes were undone. The line-break was repaired. DGZMedia and puffery was restored. Kumar becomes Menon again. So the short explanation is that you restored an old version of the article by accident, then fixed a guy's name. But to anyone looking at your change, it appears that you consciously made a number of changes.
Note that while this is a simple mistake and I understand you're not an experienced editor, it is the individual editors' responsibility to check any edit they make prior to saving the changes, by clicking Show preview and/or Show changes before committing those changes. Anyhow, please ignore the first admonishment, and please only edit current article versions going forward. Best way to do that is by clicking Read at the top of the page, and then Edit at the top of the page. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:11, 8 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
