Shoemakers
Welcome
editWelcome to Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page. To stay in Wikipedia, an article has to be about something notable, that is, of general interest. Click on Notability for an explanation of what that means, and on Notability (organizations and companies) for more detail. Also, it must give independently verifiable sources. Articles that don't meet these requirements are likely to be deleted.
- For advice about creating articles, read the Introduction and the Guide to creating your first article.
- You should not write articles about yourself, your band, your group, your client, your boss or your best friend - that's a conflict of interest.
- Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not an advertising service or business directory. Please read FAQ/Organizations before you write about your own product or organization.
- For experiments, please use the sandbox.
Speedy deletion nomination of The Shoemakers Elves
editA tag has been placed on The Shoemakers Elves, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Wikipedia is not a promotion website; this kind of activity is considered spam on Wikipedia, and forbidden by policies, and usernames that appear to be promotional also violate our username policy. Editing on Wikipedia is not intended to be used to promote anyone, or anything, and its use for that purpose will result in blocking of the account involved.
If you feel that there has been a mistake, please appeal this block by adding the text{{unblock|Your reason here}}

Please check that your new username has not already been taken here. Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry (talk) 18:50, 10 June 2009 (UTC)Despite heavily editing my page, and also providing references (albeit very badly laid out ones) I still keep violating the wikipedia terms of use. I am not trying to promote the company I work for, we already have means of doing so. As we are linked to a photographer who has a page on wikipedia, I thought it would be a good idea to link one of the companies he owns to his page.
I would be most appreciative if you could delete my account. I am now unable to edit anything, so having an account seems a bit pointless. Apologies for my errors, I was only trying to contribute to wikipedia.
- I'm sorry but there is no way to delete an account. You are not forced to use it anymore but you are free to register a new account if you wish to edit articles about subjects you are not having a conflict of interest with. You can also use
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
to request an unblock if you feel the block was made incorrectly. Regards SoWhy 13:47, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
