Shutehaven
To Nickm57
I am new to this game and hope this reaches you.
Your deletion of my edit to Portuguese discovery of Australia disappoints me because you have not read it and have leapt to judgment.
If you are interested I can send you a copy via email but I do ask you to give it a fair reading and to look closely at the Northern Territory via Google Earth.
While I respect earlier writers on this subject they are not immune from questioning of their theories.
Cheers, Ray Blackwood

- So...regarding your addition to the Theory of Portuguese Discovery of Australia page. I read The Globe regularly and have read your article, as well as most of the other writers on the topic (The current issue is available on Proquest). Whether I had or not however, the lead of an article on WP (the opening para/s) is where the key points are summarised. Please don't keep adding a reference to your own article to it. While it's a new addition it does not deserve its own place or citation in the lead.
- Please also note that WP has its own guidelines on conflict of interest, please have a look at Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest. In the meantime, I have added a reference to your article on the Dieppe Maps page, which is where it belongs, as the latest in a long line of opinions on the meaning of the maps. I will also raise this at the Wikipedia:Australian Wikipedians' notice board for other comment. Nickm57 (talk) 05:39, 14 February 2021 (UTC)
Conflict of interest
editPlease stop writing about your article on Wikipedia. As I noted above, this is regarded as a conflict of interest. It's not about convincing me or anyone else how right you are, it's a general rule that Wikipedians usually accept. Occasionally people don't and they usually get blocked from editing. Your sandbox article will have no place here - it is much more suited to a personal blog. May I suggest wordpress.com, which is a relatively inexpensive blog - visible world wide, where you can create and write to your hearts content whatever you want.Nickm57 (talk) 08:47, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
Nickm57 Understood. Am content with the mentions in the Dieppe Maps page.
I am expecting another article in this months Skeptic magazine.
Will it be ok if I insert a another citation about it and list it in the list of references where my Globe article is already noted?
Am trying to build a webpage. If successful can I list it also.
Best wishes Shutehaven ————×
