Request reason:

The reason stated for blocking my user account is abuse of multiple accounts. This is ridiculous because I have no other accounts that I've even logged in to in the past year. There is no case listed for my user at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations. From these two factors it seems to me that the administrator who blocked me, User:Will Beback, did not bother to check for any concrete evidence or consult with other admins, and is performing arbitrary bans for users making changes he doesn't like. However, that is just my guess, and there could be a perfectly reasonable explanation for this mistake.

Decline reason:

You've heard of WP:DUCK among other things. I especially like the phrase "in the past year". You also appear to understand well enough that sockpuppet investigations do not need to take place in an offial manner. As User:Will Beback states, you may take this one up with WP:ARBCOM directly. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Please submit your appeal to the ArbCom directly. arbcom-l@lists.wikimedia.org   Will Beback  talk  22:32, 19 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
I have submitted my appeal to ArbCom. Unfortunately I have yet to hear exactly what rule I have broken to have my user account blocked. However, I will refrain from editing wikipedia until either I am informed what my infraction was, or the ban is determined to be a mistake and whoever is responsible is held accountable. If neither of these ever happens, I will not be coming back as a contributing editor. SilenceSoLoud (talk) 21:30, 20 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
