Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Sillysteph1213! I am Notedgrant and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

NotedGrant Talk 22:21, 30 January 2010 (UTC) Note: I don't think I'm allowed to give real warnings, but please do not duplicate articles under different names, as you did with "Dr. Charles Sophy". S*T*A*R*B*O*X (talk) 22:22, 30 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

{{helpme}} So I made multiple ones because Wikipedia changed the name of my article from Dr. Sophy to Charles Sophy. The doctor wants his name to be Dr. Sophy as his headline. Also I thought I had cited Harper Collins and his website but I don't see them there... soooo I guess I'll try that again?

{{helpme}} Or actually Dr. Charles Sophy would be pref.

There are guidelines about what Wikipedias article are named. For people, the guidelines are at Wikipedia:Naming conventions (people), and it says the name of an article about a person should be the most recognizable name for the person, which is generally <First name> <Last name>, and it should not contain a qualifier like Dr. That is why your article was moved to the title Charles Sophy.
You did add a reference to Harper Collins, but they were removed by another editor. You can see from the article's page history that they were removed with this edit and this edit by Ttonyb1, who used the edit summaries "Copyedits" and "Removed non-specific references", respectively. If you want to discuss the edits with the user, you should go to the user's talk page at User talk:Ttonyb1.
Please let me know if there are any more questions. Thanks! --Mysdaao talk 19:20, 1 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

{{helpme}} Okay. I added more references to Charles Sophy and I'm curious as to why it's still telling me I have notability issues? Annnnd second question. For his book 'Side by Side' I need to change the title of that page from Side By Side Book to just Side By Side and ya know how yall add (music) (band) well if you could help me add (book) to that, that would be fabulous. Also, how do I cross-reference between the Dr.'s page and his book page? Wikipedia is hard.

The article message about notability is still on the top of Charles Sophy because another user added it, and no one has removed it yet. It is not added or removed automatically based on the number of references. Anyone is able to remove it at any time. If you feel the issue(s) have been addressed, you may remove it as long as you explain why you are removing it either in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Please see Wikipedia:Tagging pages for problems for how this works.
I have moved the article about the book to the title Side by Side (book). This can be done by clicking the "move" tab on the top of a page. Help:Moving a page has information about how to move a page to a new title.
If by "cross-reference between the Dr.'s page and his book page", you mean create an internal link from one page to another, that is done by adding two square brackets around the article name. For example, adding [[Charles Sophy]] creates Charles Sophy. Help:Link has information on how to create links in Wikipedia.
If this is not what you meant, please let me know. Thanks! --Mysdaao talk 20:21, 1 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

{{helpme}} Mysdaao... Thank you. I have one more question for you (or anyone else who is willing to answer). How do I add the box at the right hand side of the page with a picture/facts like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr._Phil his page has. That should be my final question. I apologize for all of my questions. I'm trying to get this stuff straightened out before his book releases on Wednesday.

Phil McGraw has an infobox, a table in the corner of articles used to summarize information. That article uses Template:Infobox person, but there are many other infoboxes for people like Template:Infobox scientist, Template:Infobox writer, and many others listed in Category:People infobox templates. Choose the one that you think is most appropriate, then follow the instructions on the template's page.
There is no need to apologize. I am always happy to help, so let me know if there's anything else I can do for you. Thanks! --Mysdaao talk 20:59, 1 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

The article Side By Side The Revolutionary Mother-Daughter Program for Conflict-Free Communication has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable book lacking GHits and GNEWS of substance. Appears to fail WP:NOTBOOK.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ttonyb (talk) 22:37, 1 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have nominated Side By Side The Revolutionary Mother-Daughter Program for Conflict-Free Communication, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Side By Side The Revolutionary Mother-Daughter Program for Conflict-Free Communication. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. ttonyb (talk) 23:41, 1 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
