Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ève Landry, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages CBC and Bad girl (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Unblockables essay

edit

I'm very flattered to see my essay being used as the basis of a new essay on another project. However, given that it appears to closely paraphrase my work in some places I have to ask if you could make a note in the page history or something to indicate that it is at least partially copied in order to retain proper attribution.

Thanks,

Speedy deletion nomination of Miscolc

edit

A tag has been placed on Miscolc requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Suggestions

Merci encore!✋🙂--185.92.26.127 (talk) 20:50, 17 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Renée Dupuis, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Union of Writers. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hello. I saw you disclosed at Talk:Robert J. Vezina that you were paid to edit the article Robert J. Vezina. Are there any other articles on En Wikipedia that you were paid to edit?--- Possibly (talk) 06:11, 16 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi,

As I see how you treat and comment my work, do you really think that I want to work with you? Simon Villeneuve (talk) 10:30, 16 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

That wasn't in any way an unreasonable question by Possibly. Would you care to answer? I will post a formal COI notice, in case that helps. If there is nothing to disclose, that's great; if there is, please take this opportunity to do so now. Thank you. --DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:57, 16 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Simon Villeneuve: It's a normal question that we often ask of paid editors. Nothing personal. It's a question of letting up know that you are following the Wikiemdia paid editor guidelines and disclosing all articles that you were paid for. I also asked because it seems that you created the Vezina article in February, but did not disclose that you were being paid until about three months later on May 8. Is that correct? In any case, please let us know if there are other articles that you have been paid for but have not disclosed. Thanks. --- Possibly (talk) 05:06, 18 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Simon Villeneuve: OK I can see that there is another instance of you editing for pay but not disclosing until much later. I've reverted your addition to Renée Dupuis, as it was undisclosed paid editing when you added it. I will open a case at the Conflict of Interest noticeboard.--- Possibly (talk) 05:18, 18 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Simon Villeneuve. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:58, 16 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Wali

Wali's real name is all over the mass media, including in press interviews. Attempting to keep it "secret" here is a pointless effort which serves no purpose. — The Anome (talk) 10:53, 24 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

I think that "all over" is an overstatement. And I also think that the anonymous question is not a white or black one. Wikipedia is a big follow spot and we must be more careful than everyone else. Simon Villeneuve (talk) 11:28, 24 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
