An article you recently created, A tuning, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. The Ghost (Before the Dawn album) returned to redirect
editHi SirZPthundergod9001. I've returned this to a (slightly improved) redirect until it can be shown to meet WP:NALBUM - charts might do it, but evidence of significant critical coverage such as a number of reviews in reliable and independent sources would also work. ~Hydronium~Hydroxide~(Talk)~ 10:06, 6 May 2019 (UTC)
Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
edit Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Before the Dawn (band) into Rise of the Phoenix (Before the Dawn album). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 13:52, 6 May 2019 (UTC)

Rapture (Betraying the Martyrs album) moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Rapture (Betraying the Martyrs album), appears to be written in a promotional manner and should be submitted through the Articles for creation process. In particular, the claim to being "ultimate" is sourceable only to the band itself, and thus does not belong in a Wikipedia article. There may be other issues too.
Additionally, in compliance with Wikipedia's conflict of interest guideline, could you please disclose whether you have any relationship with Betraying the Martyrs or if you have been paid to contribute to this or any other Wikipedia article before editing the article further.
I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:

Hi SirZPthundergod9001. When you move pages like "Show Yourself" for diambiguation purposes, please check to make sure that there aren't any non-free files being used in the article. All non-free files are required to have separate specific non-free use rationales for each use; so, when you change the name of an article, the rationale also needs to be correspondingly changed to avoid problems like this. I caught this and re-added the file to the infobox, but non-free files which aren't being used in any articles can be speedily deleted per WP:F5 after five days. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:26, 6 February 2020 (UTC)

Villain
editHi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Villain (album) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Villain (Album). This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Disruptive genre edits
editThere's nothing wrong with just using "rock" if "rock" is all you have the sourcing for. It's literally that simple. Judging by the number of warnings you've accumulated on this talk page, I imagine you need to worry less about your own views on genre, and just stick to adding whatever can be directly cited by reliable sources. Dawn of the Black Hearts
editIt’s obvious by your commentary you have an issue with the album. However discogs lists the release as an album. As such, only a band itself decides what is or is not an album, it should remain. Mayhem is one of Black Metal’s big 5, the originals from the mid-80s still releasing today. And black metal, with all it’s sub genres inclusive, is one of the top selling genre groups world wide. I’d argue the controversy and disputed CR status alone are reason for inclusion. The major volume of coverage the album has only increases the reasoning for coverage here. I point out WINC and NPOV. The entire point of the cover was to be offensive. Something not unique to Mayhem or even metal. As the Beatles, Screaming Jay, and Big Little all had intentionally disagreeable covers. Lostinlodos (talk) 05:25, 1 January 2022 (UTC)
There were other issues with the album's article; barely any reliable sources in the article, and the album cover being a copyright violation and thereby removed from the page. I don't object to the cover, just the article's quality, and now the article is redirected and should stay that way. It's time we move on....SirZPthundergod9001 (talk) 09:30, 1 January 2022 (UTC)
Remove Konvent album from 2022 metal release
editHello, SirZPthundergod9001,
You removed Konvent release from March 2022 metal release.
2022_in_heavy_metal_music#March
The justification is : Band has no article
It does not seems consistent. It is not because Wikipedia does not reference it, it does not exist. You can easily find material about this band on the Internet. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.0.210.190 (talk) 10:48, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
I know that, but even then, the article is supposed to list bands that have articles. If you can create your own account and create an article for Konvent with reliable sourcing, then we can add them to the article, but for now, we're leaving this article-less band out.SirZPthundergod9001 (talk) 10:54, 13 January 2022 (UTC)

Why
editWhy remove the entire drop c tuning wiki I play guitar I like to see which bands play in whichever tuning I’m in. Your blatant disregard for anyone but yourself pisses me off, what benefit did deleting an entire page have? Dumbass Trogdor burninator111111 (talk) 19:08, 17 April 2022 (UTC)
I'm sorry, but I had to because we could no longer allow articles based on such trivial topics that are better off as sections in a categorical article. If you want to see the bands that play in your favorite tuning, click on this link.SirZPthundergod9001 (talk) 22:04, 17 April 2022 (UTC)

No More Hollywood Endings
editPlease be careful with restoring content. The content you restored at No More Hollywood Endings in its state did not have any indication of passing notability, even though sources may exist for the album. In the future, when adding new book entries to articles, please make sure either (1) the entry you're adding as an existing article or (2) you provider a source. I've done the latter in this case. OhNoitsJamie Talk 00:06, 31 May 2022 (UTC)
July 2022: Don't add unsourced genres
editI find it amusing that in this edit you talk about removing an unsourced section, yet for all intents and purposes you added unsourced genres in the same edit. Genres need explicit citation with refnames. You cannot just add a few reviews and say "I took the genres from those sources, go click on each and find where they are". Also read WP:EXPLICITGENRE. If any of those sources talk about those genres and only say "has x elements", "elements" of something is not an explicit genre. Thanks. Ss112 19:07, 22 July 2022 (UTC)
associated_acts and spinoff parameters
editIn regards to this and similar edits you made, I wanted to point out that your edit summary "Spinoff (of)" is the new term. is inaccurate. Per the documentation at Template:Infobox musical artist, the spinoffs and spinoff_of parameters are not replacements and are not "the new term" for associated acts, they are very specific parameters that are only for bands that spun off of another band, not for associated acts. An example of correct use of the spinoff_of parameter would be Babymetal, which is a spinoff of Sakura Gakuin. To use your Lacuna Coil edit above as an example, Typo O Negative is not a spinoff of Lacuna Coil, so that parameter usage is incorrect. The consensus at Template talk:Infobox musical artist/Archive 16#Remove associated acts? was to remove associated acts from the infobox. It's not an issue of replacing associated_acts with a different name to keep the associated acts in the infobox, the issue is that the associated acts do not belong on the infobox at all, per the new consensus. Please do not change the associated_acts parameter to spinoffs; the correct way to deal with the associated_acts parameter is to remove the content completely. - Aoidh (talk) 01:10, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
Notability
editThanks for your contribs to Razed to the Ground! The article might be borderline notable, having a Pitchfork review that is RS (see Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums/Sources) and another that is (surprisingly) generally RS but additional considerations are needed. WP:GNG or WP:NALBUM generally needs multiple, independent, reliable, sources that are significant coverage, while meeting WP:NOR, WP:V, and not violating WP:NOT. But some of the refs you've added might not be reliable, see WP:RS. Thanks! VickKiang (talk) 21:59, 10 September 2022 (UTC)

editi am just updating my legal name. i am trans and this is a dead name someone keeps reverting. i have the legal documents to prove the name is legitimate. Galamity33 (talk) 20:46, 11 February 2024 (UTC)
Oh, you're galamity? Nice to meet you. I enjoy your contributions to Trivium. Anyway, we appreciate your edits on the Trivium page, but we have to revert them due to lack of reliable sourcing, and Metal Archives isn't reliable. We may consider letting you update your legal name on the page if you can publish your legal documents somewhere, unless there's some info you want to keep private. I hope you understand, and have a nice day.SirZPthundergod9001 (talk) 00:28, 12 February 2024 (UTC)

We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.
You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.
