Context Memo

edit
I found this topic whilst going through requested articles in Mathematics. I love calculus and thought anything differentiation or integration would be doable topic for me. I came across this subject an was surprised at how much research and information I was able to find on this subject which has no Wikipedia article created yet. For now, I intend on writing only the basic information on FDEs and will expand on more advanced topics in the future.
It is a little difficult gathering and defining the information that is not too complicated (a most of the material being used is heavy in theory). I intend on arranging some of the FDEs provided into a table but I can't think of any other images that could be added.

Use Ordinary Differential Equation and Differential Equation as guides.

The overall layout of the article seems fine. The main issue I have right now is with the wording. The lead section isn't clear and can be condensed into one sentence. The Definition section also could be clearer. I recommend looking at the Wolfram Mathworld article on FDEs for help with wording. For organization and wording, I'd also look at the ODE article as an example. Following the format of the ODE article, after the definition, you could have a classification section, which would likely be the Topic section, just renamed. Also, adding any solution methods or some kind of example would be helpful.

I found a few minor issues with the formatting. First, the references seem to be messed up, but that should be easy to fix. Also, try to add a category banner to the bottom of the page like the ODE article has. For references and external links, you could use the Mathworld article and any other online resource that talk about this and seem significant. Finally, don't forget to put any math expression or variable in math formatting.

One other area you cold mention is numerical solution methods for FDEs.

Overall, the outline for the article seems fine, the sections just need to be filled with at least a few sentences each.
