Speedy deletion of "The Outsets"
editA page you created, The Outsets, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a band or other musical group, but it does not indicate how they are important or significant, and thus why they should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for musical groups in particular.
You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

editWelcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from The Outsets, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Blanchardb -Me•MyEars•MyMouth- timed 22:32, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
You asked me what can be done to the article The Outsets so that it can avoid being deleted. Although some notability is asserted, you may have noticed, in the deletion discussion (in which I encvourage you to participate), that the deletion rationale has to do not with the article itself, but rather with what the article is about: a band that is virtually unknown, even though some of its members are known from other projects. In other words, notability is the problem here: I cannot find non-trivial third-party sources about this band. If you can find anything, please insert the references in the article (see WP:CITE). -- Blanchardb -Me•MyEars•MyMouth- timed 21:03, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
