Image copyright problem with Image:Joao_Batista_Figueiredo_01.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Joao_Batista_Figueiredo_01.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. Ringmail and vandalism

It seems some unbidentified vandals keep replacing the ringmail article with stuff about it being a historical mistake. After all the work I had do to prove to myself it was a true form of armor, I am tired of having to revert the page on a regular basis. I suggest protecting it might be a good idea. I don't know if you have the admin powers, or clout over admins to do it, but your interest in countervandalism made me think of you as the right person to ask counsel from.

Iran

Hello, There is only one official language in Iran according to the constitution, however other languages are also recognized(but not as the official language). So there is no need of adding other languages in front of "Official language" in that box. That png image has a softer color, which has a better psychological effect on the viewer, where as that svg image, due to the presence of red color, wasn't a good option. The use of red color is for those countries which are too small, so that the viewer be able to detect and see them, like this one. But other countries which are bigger in size are colored green.[1]. If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

• make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
• Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
