Buddha's life story
editHello SkE! I am interested in the story of two musicians who inspired the Buddha to develop the middle way. Having searched through the history page of Gautama Buddha I found that it was you who added this story in April 2008! Could you possibly tell me where you got this story from? I am writing an article on Buddhism and music and would like to cite this story. Many thanks! Bethany 90.213.216.104 (talk) 13:43, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
Star Wars Wiki
editI am a new user and as such I have only just started using Wikipedia (save for a few edits without an account).
However, if there is anything you wish to ask me about Star Wars ... anything at all, I know loads!!!
Thanks SkE
Hi SkE,
Did you request this account earlier today at WP:ACC? The request is being archived by an automated bot incorrectly, but if it was you that made the request today, and you have access to this account now, I can just stop fighting the bot and let it win. --barneca (talk) 16:49, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
My account
editI requested it earlier today and then managed to get on. It's just that I checked the previous failures for accounts and this account was on it.
I managed anyway.
Thanks --SkE 16:52, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
Well, in that case...

A tag has been placed on Matchware requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Gois-Clair, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.didik.com/3d_hist.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 11:58, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Product Market
editA tag has been placed on Product Market requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I see you've recently created this article. However, I'm afraid the content may be unsuitable for Wikipedia at present, as it reads like a "how-to"; see WP:NOT#HOWTO. Perhaps it would be best to redirect it to Hypertext Transfer Protocol. Choess (talk) 16:52, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- Unless you can show evidence that "HTP" is regularly used instead of "HTTP" as an abbreviation for "Hypertext Transfer Protocol", please do not add it to the HTP page. Wikipedia documents existing usage; it does not correct usage, even if you think "HTP" is a more logical acronym. Choess (talk) 17:15, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I've found a reference, so I guess that's OK. Choess (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 17:18, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry about all the problems, I am not very good at being a Wikipedian! So far all of my articles have had problems and have been put on lists of speedy deletion and so forth. Please could you tell me the reference so I can add it to the references section on the page.
- I've already added it there; not a problem! I'm not sure quite where to refer you for help, I have to admit. You're obviously comfortable with the editing tools, but you've been running into problems with article content. Unfortunately, our guidelines are pretty bloated and can make difficult reading. Wikipedia:Wikipedia in brief has links to the core content policies on Wikipedia, which may help; WP:NOT, for instance, is a good explanation of some of the things people may want to put into Wikipedia that shouldn't be there. If there are any particular questions you'd like to ask, there's a help page for new contributors where you can take questions. One thing you might try is browsing through some articles that interest you looking for "red links" — links to pages that haven't been created yet. That's an indication that someone else thinks the topic is worthy of an article, and you may be inspired to create one. Best, Choess (talk) 17:28, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
Hypertext Protocol
editA proposed deletion template has been added to the article Hypertext Protocol, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Hypertext Protocol. The article Account manager has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Propose deletion because it's a dictionary definition - it should be on Wiktionary
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Beeshoney (talk) 15:46, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The article FP-4 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Clearly not a notable product. Not every model of digital piano, especially a basic one, deserves an independent article.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. <<< SOME GADGET GEEK >>> (talk) 03:00, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
