Thanks, good to know said activity is of some use. There'll probably only be a few more "actual films" -- the original estimate seemed to consist mainly of lots and lots of actors and "film biographies", which I'll skip for now. So that just leaves some film-stub-by-country cats to run through, which I'll try to do presently. Alai 01:53, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

Changing of list importance to NA
editHello SkierRMH, you recently changed the importance of List of Harry Potter films cast members from Mid to NA. I don't understand -- lists have content just like articles and can be graded on importance to the project. (Additionally, I would refute the existence of a "class=List" when Lists have quality ranging from Stub to Featured too, but that's something I'd have to take up with the bigger project.) --Fbv65edel/t/c || 12:14, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
translation copyright
editDear SkierRMH, Somewhere in the Wikipedia system you wrote: 'Basically, a translated text is a derivative work, and as such subject to the original's copyright as well as the translator's. Therefore there would be an infringment of the copyright. Translations in general are subject to copyright. The main exception is that a translation made by an author who died more than 70 years [ago] will generally be in the public domain, but more recent works remain copyrighted.' I was wondering if you would be so kind as to give me your opinion on what the translator's copyright rights are for translating a work originally written more than one hundred years ago. Thanks!! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.5.45.2 (talk) 18:27, 2 May 2007 (UTC).
There's too many variables here however, in general my base guess would be - if the translation is published, then I'd say, yes, as long as that is made clear in the publication. Unpublished, highly doubtful. I'd say that the person would have to get an official 'seal of approval' from some governmental organization to be able to claim a copyright of some work like this. But again, there's so many variables here, it would be difficult to make very generalized statement about this. SkierRMH 04:42, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
THANKS VERY MUCH-- I appreciate your opinion. The translation is unpublished- a children's book in German written over 100 years ago which my mother recently translated and would like to have published. Thanks again.
Until June
editHello, SkierRMH! I'm Wikimachine, & I today tried to create the Until June article. However, this is protected from recreation. I think that this band is notable now... I'm in absolute love with their songs, so could you lift the protection? (Wikimachine 22:18, 5 May 2007 (UTC))
huh?
editwhere? who? what? theres thousands to go - where did you put em! SatuSuro 01:32, 8 May 2007 (UTC) Arrggh you had me worried - very careful I do not tag disambig or lists - {{WP Australia|class=NA}} must be put on cat pages only - if you are doing them - actually look to see what you are doing
- DO NOT muck around with any texts (stupid or not) on the talk pages unless its real rubbish - i gotta get off SatuSuro 01:45, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
Room 666
editHi Skier, I noticed that some of the film sub-cats don't show up right. I changed the one on Room 666 back to just stub for the moment as I couldn't figure out how to make the documentary film stub show up on the page. Please correct it if you like. AguireTS 12:59, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

editHow could you label "one hit" as a stub article? i think it's of a pretty decent length. Stan weller 19:28, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
- Well it does say in the intro that it is the opening track to the album. and its chart numbers are listed in the info box. i fixed it up a little though. Stan weller 08:00, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
- So is it still a stub? Stan weller 05:47, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned fair use image (Image:BenderSimpsons.png)
editThanks for uploading Image:BenderSimpsons.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Cast
editAre you aware that the style guidelines for films were recently amended to state that it is not mandatory to have a cast section in a film article? BIGNOLE (Contact me) 05:37, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- It isn't mandated that you have a section devoted to the cast. Simply putting the actors names in the plot section for small casts is sufficient, as seen at Halloween. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 05:48, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
Your removal of {{reqfreephoto}} from Kappei Yamaguchi
editThere was a reason that the tag was there in the first place. That artcle had a fair use image at one point, but it was removed. That tag is intended to request photos to replace removed deleted fair use images. Next time, read the template message and better yet, try viewing past versions of the page via the History section... Ranma9617 00:32, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Film images.
editPlease stop putting the film image tags on movies that have not yet entered filming. You're fully aware ,from reading the articles taht we can't get what does not yet exist. When there are legitimate fair use images, they will be added. Thank you. ThuranX 11:48, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for your comments on the talkpage for But I'm a Cheerleader - I will definitely bear them in mind. I have a question about the edit you made to the article page - how come you used the {{USA}} template, thereby adding the flagicon to the Country of origin field? I thought that it was generally thought now that we should just put the name of the country and possibly use flags for release dates if they are for more than one country. I could be mistaken, the only recent discussion I can find of this is here. Anyway, thanks for having a look at the article and well done on all the great work you do for the film project! Thanks --Belovedfreak 17:20, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
runaway tagging
editDid you check whether Anime Runaway exists before tagging its talk page? I suspect you have been giving false credibility to total nonsense. -- RHaworth 08:11, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
Re: Films cap. offer
editGreat! Where exactly would you like me to save it? Jogers (talk) 08:39, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- Better not clutter the User:SkierRMH/My Sandbox/Film toolbox. I've saved the list at User:SkierRMH/List but feel free to move it wherever you want. Jogers (talk) 10:05, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- There should generally be no need to delete the redirect once a page is moved because they may still be pages linking to the incorrectly capitalized title. Moreover, redirects from other capitalization help readers find the article (see What do we use redirects for?). I have one suggestion about moving pages if you don't mind. Please be sure to check for double redirects. :-) Regards, Jogers (talk) 22:09, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I was thinking that you probably just forgot to fix double redirect in case of You Are The One(film). You surely know about everything what I said. I'm sorry, it's quite late in my time zone :-) I wouldn't call your corrections obsessive, I like that! Jogers (talk) 22:33, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
Checked and fixed. Thanks for the warning. Both articles need editing and List of Bulgarian films: 1919-1949 has to be rewritten. I'll be taking on with this soon. --Laveol 18:07, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
Who is Cletis Tout?
editI'm just curious. Why did you listed Who is Cletis Tout? as exception at User talk:SkierRMH/List? Jogers (talk) 10:22, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
- I see. I asked because it seemed like a clear-cut case to me. I would move it straight away. Regards, Jogers (talk) 15:44, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
Page moves
editHey. I have completed your requests at WP:RM#Uncontroversial proposals except for Disney's The Kid as that would probably be controversial due to this earlier discussion. However, only one of your requested moves, Bully for Bugs, actually required admin tools. You can always move over a redirect yourself if the target page history contains only one line. See Help:Moving a page. Thanks, Prolog 09:01, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
Betty Blowtorch And Her Amazing True Life Adventures
editHard question. I was never sure what's the policy on this matter. The part in parentheses continues the main title in this case so it may be reasonable to capitalize it as if the parentheses don't exist. This is at least what MusicBrainz says in their capitalization guideline. If you are not confident about it you can list it as an exception for now. Jogers (talk) 11:52, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
Grateful Dead: Downhill from Here
editGreetings, SkierRMH. I'd like to discuss your recent edits of the article now known as Grateful Dead: Downhill from Here. I've started the discussion on the article's talk page. Please reply there, I'll check back for your response. — Mudwater 11:24, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
Chalk (film)
editHello, SkierRMH. I started the stub to Chalk (film) and you put improvement tags on the talk page per the film wikiproject. I followed most of the suggestions that were made in upgrading the article but welcome any more suggestions you might have to get it out of stub- class. I know it does not help that I have yet to see the movie(I plan on it though) and the release of it was much more limited than I thought (only in L.A. on one screen but with more cities to come). I appreciate any feedback :) MrMurph101 03:37, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
My Apologies
editIt was made known to me by another user that you were in fact the vandal, just not signed in. I am sorry and didn't think it could be you, but I figured that weird stuff happens to Wikipedians. I don't know. Sorry. I'm just trying to help, that's all.

Bill, the Galactic Hero
editGreetings, SkierRMH. I noticed that most of your plot synopses for the Bill, the Galactic Hero series are word-for-word identical to the same on Amazon.com, and that one, as I recall, is taken from the book jackets. I was wondering if you contributed to Amazon.com or the publishing company, or if you had just copied them. If the latter is the case, please review http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Copyrights. If, in fact, it is the first, please disregard this message. Thanks! --Milton 02:16, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
- After writing that, I had a friend of mine question me about that post, so I do want to iterate that there was no sarcasm in that, because I have known people on Wikipedia to insert their own work into an article, which could also be found at other websites. Hope that clears up any perceived rudeness on my part. --Milton
