BlocK? abosulely maybe...

maybe you should block WikiUni (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) after all. Today he/she uploaded this claiming it to be from Amazon.com even though a search of amazon here yields nothing of the sort. She/He doesn't appear to understand the seriousness of uploading false or unattributed/unattributable images.

The user has not edited since 10/5 and I've been trying to keep an eye on any additional activity. There's been given the equivalent of 'last warnings', so any future misbehaviour will result in a block. Thanks for keeping an eye on this :) Skier Dude (talk 03:40, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

Haver a look at...

File:HowieCosellProfile.jpg is a blatant copvio. It is a screen grab from an episode of the Odd Couple tv show. Currently at a deletion discussion but when I saw it I tagged it as a speedy for being blatant copyvio. A new admin declined the speedy because it did not have a source listed and than tagged it themselves {{di-no source}}. I wouldn't bother with the slight wheel warning but leaving a blatant copyvio around because a new admin without a real grasp yet of images and related policies is ludicrous. Laura Lang image deleted

Hi there. Per your message last week about the image on the Laura Lang Wikipedia page, I reached out to someone at the corporate communications team at Digitas, who said that they'd contact the Wikipedia permissions email address and let them know it's okay to use. (talk page stalker) No, do not upload the image again. When the OTRS ticket is processed, assuming the permission given is acceptable, the image will be restored with a ticket is generated showing that permission was given. If you upload it now the image will likely just be tagged for deletion again. Hope that helps as Skier Dude seems to be offline for a few days. ww2censor (talk) 17:08, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

Hi Skier Dude! I notice that you flagged File:Eric Birley 003b.jpg for deletion. I expected this since I orphaned it yesterday. On advice, I removed it from the wikiarticle I had uploaded it to because there was already another image of the subject there and I wanted to ensure compliance with WP:NFCC#3a. Once I did that, I should have flagged it myself for WP:CSD#G7. Thank you for taking care of this for me. 2011 films

Can you please revert your additions of Category:2011 films? Not only are none of these films considered 2011 films yet as they aren't released, some of the films you added to the category don't even have a release date yet. BOVINEBOY2008 06:50, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

I am reverting. Films that have a scheduled release date, even if that is tomorrow, are still unreleased films. This is a policy that could be discussed, but no consensus really has been found yet. Not empty

Category:3rd-millennium establishments in Norway only appears empty. Category:21st-century establishments in Norway is in it, or at least it should have been. You should be extremely cautious adding {{db-c1}} to categories with the job queue apparently being several months for some categories with template-added entries. __meco (talk) 07:44, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

Still showing as empty - both Category:3rd-millennium establishments by country & Category:Establishments in Norway by millennium are parent categories - "21st..." is not being transcluded either 'up' or 'down' for it. It appears that there's something messed up with "21st..." as 3rd-milennium is not showing that it's "related" to it (at least on the 3rd milennium page. Doubt that server lag would be that bad for it's not showing up for 11 days. Not sure where to look to see if you can get the cache purged - maybe ask at the admin/tech issues board?

And, I do let them sit about a week in the list I use before tagging them - with the added days for the 'pseudo-speedy' there's usually about 2 weeks before it's noted as empty before it's deleted. Skier Dude (talk 07:55, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

Ho visto che hai scritto alcune voci dedicate ai dischi dei The Manhattan Transfer qui su en.wiki. Volevo segnalati qualche imprecisione che riguardano i dischi live. Man-Tora! Live in Tokyo è un disco uscito nel 1993 e la track listing è completamente diversa (vedi it:Man-Tora! Live in Tokyo) . Invece nel 1987 è uscito un album che si intitola The Manhattan Transfer Live che contiene quelle canzoni. Un altro disco intitolato The Manhattan Transfer Live è uscito nel 1978, ma la copertina alternativa (alternate album cover) è quella dell'album del 1987 (vedi The Manhattan Transfer Live). Insomma, c'è un po' di confusione :-) Se tu avessi voglia di sistemare le cose puoi fare riferimento alle voci su it.wiki che dovrebbero essere abbastanza corrette. Grazie mille! Ho controllato e c'è stato un duplicato nella nostra discografia - il 1987 è corretta (non c'era 1981). Anche, la 'track listing' en it:Man-Tora! Live in Tokyo è corretta anche (Penso che sia stato un 'copia e incolla' errore tra una al->altro). Ho aggiornato le .en pagine. Spero che questo cose chiarite.
