Appreciate the enthusiasm, but ...

... please don't overuse the WP:Notifications/Thanks feature. Bolding of complex numbers

Please stop bolding terms that represent complex numbers. Variables taking on complex quantities are still just numbers and are normally rendered as such (unbolded, italics) in mathematical expressions. SpinningSpark 21:43, 15 April 2020 (UTC)

I don't know whether italic vectors is more correct or not, but I do know that Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Mathematics uses upright and WP:STYLEVAR mandates against wholesale changes of style without first getting consensus in a discussion, so please stop doing this for now. However, discussion pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Mathematics/Archive 1, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
