Hi My name is Peter, and as the time I write the peer review for your article I realized that you did a lot research about the face paint and learned about the colors and the patterns about it. And that is very impressive. That also remind me some knowledge I used to learn: for the face paint there are classification. there are actually five different types of facial make up in operas. they are “生” “旦” “净” “末” “丑” for each of them there really have a very complicate division in side of it. just use “生” as an example, it basically means male characters in Chinese Opera, but inside of it there are Xiao Sheng, Lao Sheng and Wu Sheng. they will divide it by the age, the Characteristic, and even the Matiral Arts. It is just a little tip for you, you can choose to add it in or not. But If you need any help on doing any kind of research for the Chinese opera or other Chinese music part, just let me know. I'm sure I can find a huge number of Chinese resources for you. and I will try to translate them into English for you if you need!
