British vs. American English
editHi Slovett23. Thank you for your work on Venus figurines. However I have to point out that these are neither spelling nor grammatical errors. Wikipedia doesn't prefer one national variety of English over another, but when the use of one variety is established in an article, it should be used consistently and not changed without good reason. "Venus figurines" uses British English spellings, e.g. criticise, colour, artefact, Palaeolithic. Doug Weller has actually already pointed this out to you on the talk page of the article – as Wikipedia is a collaborative project, it's important that you read what other editors say on that page. I'm sorry to have to revert your recent edit because of this. I hope you will continue to improve the article. Thanks. – Joe (talk) 22:15, 14 November 2019 (UTC)
