Hi Friend
editMy name is krishna chaitanya and i am also a native of Yanam. It was actually me who wrote articles about colonial history of Yanam. I request you to check them for more information. I love my yanam and its history. Actually when i asked some old people they told about Monsieur Maddimsetty. Initially i heard that he was killed by Indian police. Later, when i spoke with Wife of Monsieur Kanakala Tatayya Naidou, Ex-Assemblée Représentative of Yanam, she showed an old photo of Monsieur Samatam and started telling about his death. Even she named the person who gave pistol to Monsieur Maddimsetty which i forgot. Brother, history is history and i am interested in just knowing about the facts.
I have studied in Pondicherry Engineering College at Pondicherry. It really stuns me why it was only yanam that doesn't have any remains of French culture when compared to other colonies. So, I started like a research about it. So, I have written according to the information i have got. I am not against anyone but feel sorry for the bitter fate Yanam had faced because of some people's personal interests.
Dont write your comments in the middle of article, but enter them in discussion page. Anyway, its nice to meet a Yanam French guy, hope you can give some information for me about Yanam people in France and colonial history of Yanam like that. Bye, Take care.
