Speedy deletion nomination of Field Precision LLC
editA tag has been placed on Field Precision LLC requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Speedy deletion nomination of Field Precision LLC
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Field Precision LLC requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, Snegtrail. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Field Precision LLC, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. General Ization Talk 20:56, 21 January 2019 (UTC)

editIn answer to your email: Please follow the procedure described above ("If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination ..."), rather than send me email. If you do not do so, the page will most likely be deleted. Also, your comment in your email:
“ | Although the company has been active for 30 years, no third party has written a Wikipedia article about it If we don't write an article, no one else will. | ” |
is exactly the problem. While I'm sure the company is important to you, if it is not notable, meaning that multiple independent, published sources have written about it (the company, that is, not the science behind its products) and support all of the claims in the article, it does not belong in the encyclopedia. As the article stands now, it does not appear in my opinion to be notable.
“ | I feel that our company has a record of research and service comparable to CST, Vector Fields and Comsoft and should be represented on Wikipedia. | ” |
I do not see that any of those companies have articles in the encyclopedia. If any of them do and I have just missed them somehow, compare your article to them and see how they have cited multiple independent, published sources that establish their notability. General Ization Talk 21:17, 21 January 2019 (UTC)
Also, please note that Wikipedia is not a business directory. There are many companies that do not and will not have articles here unless and until they establish that they are notable. General Ization Talk 21:20, 21 January 2019 (UTC)
