Linak

A tag has been placed on Linak, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Right - thnks Greatwalk. I dont want to do anything wrong - just trying to get company info into wikipedia, just like a lot of other companies... but I will read your guidelines a little better.. SORRY!!

So... I have made some modifications on the 'LINAK' -page... uploaded a logo.. I hope the page is ok now....?? I will try to delete the notice about 'criteria for speedy deletion' later.. - I guess this is allowed??

Snitzelman, thanks for taking the time to read up on our guidelines. I agree the article no longer reads like blatant advertising, but I'm still concerned since your user page indicates you are employed by this company. Users are strongly discouraged from editing or creating articles about topics that they have a vested interest in, because it is so difficult to adhere to a neutral point of view. Can I encourage you to allow the article to be deleted? If the company is indeed notable, in time someone else will come along and create the article for it. If you agree, you can blank the page and replace it with {{db-author}}. If you really want the article to stay, please take heed of WP:COI and also see WP:CORP to ensure the company is notable. -SpuriousQ, I understand. I would like the page to stay, with very little information. (only the basics) I have modified the page, and removed the link to our homepage. (no link spam)

Now, others can add information to the page, about LINAK, just as it is intended.

Hi Snitzelman, I think this article needs to be developed in the sandbox, or you can make your own. I have doubts this article can be developed beyond advertising at this time, however. Is this company known for something other than its own products or services? Kind regards, GreatWalk

Snitzelman, since we last spoke the article has only devolved into a blatant advertisement, and I reverted back to the stub version. However, since no version of the article, including the current one, clearly satisfies both WP:CORP and WP:NPOV, I've proposed the article for deletion. -SpuriousQ (talk) 14:05, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

Blatant advertisement? I would call it facts!!! I saw the article about LINAK, and I was afraid you would delete it. But I read it carefully, and compared the article with other articles about other Danish companies – and I am afraid I cant really see the difference between the LINAK article, you have proposed for deletion and e.g. the Danfoss and Grundfos articles, about companies from Denmark, industrial companies just like LINAK.

It appears to me, that the writers here at wikipedia are treaded different, dependent on who evaluates the article?? Snitzelman 07:25, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

If you wish to contest the proposed deletion, you can by following the steps explained here. However, the article would likely be taken to Articles for Deletion in that event. Again, in my opinion no version of the article has clearly met Wikipedia's criteria on notability for companies, which is why I have decided to propose it for deletion. -SpuriousQ (talk) 13:50, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Linak-logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Since someone has created an LINAK article, I have re-published the LINAK logo. It can be used for the article.
