Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:The Mercy Dolls II - 450 x 300.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Mifter (talk) 00:44, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of The mercy dolls

edit

A tag has been placed on The mercy dolls requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Mifter (talk) 00:45, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

The Mercy Dolls

edit

You need to ensure that anything included in the article is verifiable - so you need to cite where you have found/located the information upon which you have based your comments. You also need to show that you are not using Wikipedia to self promote the band - which your username and the fact that the only article you have edited is 'The Mercy Dolls' certainly doesn't help - unfortunately it almost implies that you have some form of relation to the band and therefore a conflict of interest. I am happy to assist you in formatting and referencing of the article to ensure that it stands a reasonable chance of being retained on Wikipedia however I will need your assistance. If you have any queries just respond on my talk page. Dan arndt (talk) 09:14, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Glad I could help - if you ever have any queries or run foul of the WikiPolice let me know - we've all been there and done that in the past. Dan arndt (talk) 01:03, 7 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Just to let you know that despite all the hard work, the deletionists on Wikipedia have managed to get their way and the article has been deleted... Dan arndt (talk) 04:44, 26 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
