Welcome!

edit

WELCOME!! Hello, Sokeripupu! I want to personally welcome you on behalf of the Wikipedia community. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you haven't already, you can put yourself in the new user log and thelist of users so you can be properly introduced to everyone. Don't forget to be bold, and don't be afraid of hungry Wikipedians...there's a rule about not biting newcomers. Some other good links are the tutorial, how to edit a page, or if you're really stuck, see the help pages. Wikipedia is held up by Five Pillars...I recommend reading about them if you haven't already. Finally, it would be really helpful if you would sign your name on talk pages, so people can get back to you quickly. It's easy to do this by clicking the button (next to the one with the "W" crossed out) one from the end on the left. If that's confusing, or if you have any questions, feel free to drop me a at my talk page (by clicking the plus sign (+) next to the tab at the top that says "edit this page")...and again, welcome!--ViolinGirl 14:14, 23 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Your AMA request

edit

I'm looking at the history of the anon and the Rate Your Music article now; will get back to you soon. Kurt Weber 03:12, 31 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

OK, frankly, what it amounts to is that he appears to have stopped. I'll monitor it for a bit to see if he starts back up again, but hopefully he's finished and this is the end of it. Kurt Weber 15:51, 31 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

yeah, he seems to have stopped for now. he's kept at our site for almost 6 months now, on and off, so i wouldn't be surprised if he pops up here again at some point. i'll leave you a message if that happens in the future, if that's ok with you. thanks!Sokeripupu 17:52, 31 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

The Jerk (He hates those cans! Stay away from the cans!)

edit

I went ahead and removed the uncivil and unsigned comments (if you want them to remain they feel free to replace them--it's your talk page, after all). If he does it again getting a block should be no problem. Really it should be no problem now, but he seems to have left so it'd just be a waste of time. Kurt Weber 02:05, 23 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Caustic Christ

edit

The Caustic Christ article was first created on September 7, 2005, and was deleted a minute later. A new version appeared on October 10, 2005 and was deleted that same day. The final version was created on February 11th. I deleted it because it failed to assert the band's notability (criterion A7). I then protected the article to prevent it from being recreated a third time. I think the best way to go forward is that you write the article as you wish to see it, on the article's talk page. If it asserts the band's notability, I will then delete the current content (or lack thereof), unprotect the article and move your article from the talk page to the article proper. I hope you understand that the edit history of the article warrants a little cautiousness. Aecis Appleknocker Flophouse 09:00, 9 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Great job at rewriting Caustic Christ. It's a big improvement compared to what was there before. There is one point though. The article doesn't yet fully meet the criteria set by Wikipedia:Notability (music)#Musicians and ensembles. My apologies, I should have pointed you to that guideline earlier. If you liked writing an article about a band, you might wanna check Wikipedia:Requested articles/music. Aecis Appleknocker Flophouse 21:00, 9 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
If it's verifiable, well-documented and relevant information, it should in my view always be added, regardless of whether it is directly necessary to save the article or not. But you're right, the article is fine this way. I'll remove the template, unprotect the article and add the content. Aecis Appleknocker Flophouse 21:21, 9 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
I've moved the article from the talk page to the article itself, and I've unprotected it. If there are further edits you wish to make, you can now do so at Caustic Christ. I've changed the name of the first album from Self-titled to Caustic Christ. Self-titled albums get the same name as the band here, unless ofcourse the album is officially called Self-titled. If that is the case, please do change it. Aecis Appleknocker Flophouse 21:29, 9 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
