Please help me with... Hi, I'm a registered user (Soldan~itwiki). I'd like to edit a few new lines of text and post three pictures in the English entry "Jupiter" (Astronomy), but the entry is protected and I can't understand how to to. Please, can someone direct me?
Thanks in advice.
Cordially

- I assume that you are referring to Jupiter(there is no "Jupiter (astronomy)" article). Please describe what it is that you want to do on Talk:Jupiter. As that article is about a prominent topic, someone will see your post on the talk page. 331dot (talk) 15:30, 28 April 2023 (UTC)
- Dear 331dot,
- I'm afraid I made a mistake in posting my proposal.
- I'll try again...
- The text I'd like to add, in the section "History" => "Ground-based telescope research", as a new paragraph, between th first and the second one, is as follows:
- «Jupiter's belts were observed for the first time in the autumn of 1639 by the Neapolitan optician Francesco Fontana (c. 1585–1656), while testing a 22-pals Keplerian telescope he had just built. Fontana himself announced the discovery to the Grand Duke of Tuscany Ferdinando II de' Medici in a letter, now preserved at the Achivio di Stato di Firenze (Italy).[Footnote] The letter, dated 23 October 1639, contains a sketch of the disk of Jupiter with three belts.»
- [Footnote]: P. Del Santo, On an Unpublished Letter of Francesco Fontana to the Grand-Duke of Tuscany Ferdinand II de' Medici, in Galilæana: Journal of Galilean Studies, VI, 2009, pp. 235-251.
