Thanks for dealing with that; you blocked one of the disruptive editors, but this one was playing the same games, and could (IMHO) use the same treatment. Regards, Vanamonde93 (talk) 10:42, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
Update: It's been taken care of. thanks anyhow! Vanamonde93 (talk) 10:54, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
- Oh, I didn't realize that. I thought the other one was just reverting the first. Sigh. —SpacemanSpiff 12:46, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
Advertising at Mirza Faizan
Who decides what is advertising? You? A discussion on global aviation issues looks advertising to you? Subject's notability looks advertising to you? I've seen your contribs and noticed you're playing this game of revising articles as per your whims and fancies. Stop this please. Thank you!
- Let's be clear, Wikipedia is not an avenue to promote one's resume. You've been doing that for over a year now. Stop it or your editing privileges are likely to be revoked. —SpacemanSpiff 06:10, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
You are free to think whatever you wish to, but keep in mind you should not misuse your Sysops privileges to dominate a dispute. Identify which part you think is promotion and WHY? If there is anything appearing tones up or biased, tone it down, reason it. You cannot altogether delete the entire section which contains subject's panel discussion on national and international aviation safety issues and other media appearances. As we notice that after the dispute you've deleted the portions of article which you did not delete earlier, this clearly shows you've taken it on your personal ego and trying to prove a point. Keep in mind, wiki is a public asset and not a tool to satisfy one's ego. I might approach Wiki Foundation over your misuse of Sysops privileges. Stop this immediately! Thank you.

- Sorry, but forgive me for not taking advice from resume writers! You've been socking to get your way, and this conversation is useless with someone indulging in such blatant promotional activity. —SpacemanSpiff 06:58, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
It's OK. I understand, that's what happens when people writing on cricket starts giving their judgement & comments on Rocket Scientists! These days everyone wants to do everything. So, I understand your problem. I know this conversation is useless with someone indulging in polishing their ego by misusing their privileges.
Indianscientists (talk) 07:13, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
- Indianscientists, stating that an Administrator has misused this Administrator rights is a very serious accusation. I see no evidence of it, but you need to either prove this or drop it. I've also noticed that after your last warning an IP address repeated your edits. Was that you? Doug Weller (talk) 11:06, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
- The two accounts have been blocked as socks, Doug. —SpacemanSpiff 17:14, 1 December 2015 (UTC)

Requested move: Arakhs
We use the singular for caste names but Arakhs cannot be moved to Arakh due to a redirect being in place. Please can you fix this? - Sitush (talk) 13:39, 2 December 2015 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Fixed. Saved you the trouble Spiff :) --regentspark (comment) 18:01, 2 December 2015 (UTC)
Promotions
While fighting all promotions of media houses, I have stumbled upon some articles which should be deleted or checked for their notability. I have hence AfDed few such awards by these houses and now I was moving towards smaller companies in this field. But I haven't dealt with many company articles and hence thought of second opinion. Is Exchange4media.com notable? Its also used as source on many pages. Exchange4media has a long history of deletions and the current article is created by an SPA in one single go.
exchange4media.com: Linksearch en (insource) - meta - de - fr - simple - wikt:en - wikt:fr • Spamcheck • MER-C X-wiki • gs • Reports: Links on en - COIBot - COIBot-Local • Discussions: tracked - advanced - RSN • COIBot-Link, Local, & XWiki Reports - Wikipedia: en - fr - de • Google: search • meta • Domain: domaintools • AboutUs.com .

- Wikipedia loves advertorials. I'm really tired of dealing with this sort of crap, I'm also busy off-wiki for the next week or so, won't be able to do anything even if I take a deeper look. Maybe ask DGG? —SpacemanSpiff 19:45, 4 December 2015 (UTC)

@Js82 and 67.164.86.112
See this where IP 67.164.86.112 posted as or on behalf of @Js82, and the same IP is now editing Sikhism again. The IP was blocked by you for 2 weeks on November 17. Does the main Sikhism article need temporary protection? Ms Sarah Welch (talk) 19:34, 3 December 2015 (UTC)
- I semi-ed for one month. Obvious sock of js82 so let me know (or drop a note here since I watch this page) if they continue to edit Sikhism related pages.--regentspark (comment) 03:27, 4 December 2015 (UTC)

Recreation of deleted page
- Hello SpacemanSpiff, on 06 Feb 2010 you had deleted page Brijesh Kumar. I just wanted to let you know that I have recreated the page for an Indian politician (Brajesh Katheriya) and page "Brijesh Kumar" has been redirected since this source spells his name differently than the official page here (of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly). Trust this will be fine with you. Cheers, Arun Kumar SINGH (Talk) 12:47, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
Review for new wikipedia page
Hello,
I have created a new wikipedia page for Late Brahm Sarup Singh who was a player of vichitra veena, a musical instrument.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brahm_Sarup_Singh.
The page is new and unreviewed. Can you please suggest me any changes and if it is good, can you review it.
This is my first article on wikipedia and I am not sure if I have done it correctly. Hope you take a look at it.
Thanks,
Adesh Chopade

- Adesh31, sorry for the late reply, I seem to have missed your post when I checked earlier. The images you uploaded are copyvios and I've tagged them for deletion. Also, the sources should pass WP:RS, the subject seems notable, so that aspect isn't an issue, but if you can add sources to reliable newspapers (like the Tribune clipping) that'll be good. The sources don't have to be in English, if it's like the Punjabi language tribune, then just add Punjabi in the language parameter. I'll take a deeper look later. cheers. —SpacemanSpiff 09:38, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you for replying. This were the only sources that I was able to find. The images that I have uploaded seem to be available on various websites. Is there any way to keep them on wikipedia by adding proper licensing information? It would be a great help. Thanks. Adesh31 (talk) 10:05, 12 December 2015 (UTC)

I wanted to follow-up on an message I sent you in September regarding the need for you to sign a confidentiality agreement by 31 December 2015 in order to maintain your access from Wikimedia to nonpublic information, and specifically to the OTRS system.
As you may know, the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees approved a new "Access to nonpublic information policy" on 25 April 2014 after a community consultation. The former policy has remained in place until the new policy could be implemented. That implementation work is now being done, and we are transitioning to the new policy.
An important part of that transition is helping volunteers like you sign the required confidentiality agreement. All Wikimedia volunteers with access to nonpublic information are required to sign this new agreement, and we have prepared some documentation to help you do so.
The Wikimedia Foundation is requiring that anyone with access to nonpublic information sign the new confidentiality agreement by 31 December 2015 to retain their access. You are receiving this message because you have access to nonpublic information by way of the OTRS system and are required to sign the confidentiality agreement under the new policy. If you do not sign the new confidentiality agreement by 31 December 2015, you will lose your OTRS access.
Signing the confidentiality agreement for nonpublic information is conducted and tracked using Legalpad on Phabricator. We have prepared a guide on Meta-Wiki to help you create your Phabricator account and sign the new agreement: Confidentiality agreement for nonpublic information/How to sign
If you have any questions or experience any problems while signing the new agreement, please visit this talk page or email me (gvarnum wikimedia.org). Again, please sign this confidentiality agreement by 31 December 2015 to retain your access to nonpublic information. If you do not wish to retain this access, please let me know and we will forward your request to the appropriate individuals.
If you wish to stop receiving these notices, you may remove yourself from this list. Please note that doing so will not prevent you from losing OTRS rights and access after the 31 December 2015 deadline.
Thank you,
Gregory Varnum (User:GVarnum-WMF), Wikimedia Foundation

- If I were you, I'd relinquish the OTRS rights, Spiffy. I wouldn't trust WMF software. If they run low on OTRS volunteers then they'll just have to get their fingers out and start doing stuff that they should have been doing from the get-go and for which they have ample funds. - Sitush (talk) 20:58, 26 December 2015 (UTC)

500/30
Hey Spaceman, hope the holidays are treating you well. Give me a holler when you return, I wanted to talk more about the 500/30 editing restriction. I'm thinking it's time we implement the template-based approach of enforcing it, but figured I should get more input from the more knowledgeable editors such as yourself. Cheers and happy new year — MusikAnimal talk 02:17, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
