editOpen C tuning of "Friends"
editI found two reliable-sources on Jimmy Page's open tuning for "Friends", but they disagree on one open-note. One agrees with your assertion, and the other calls the chord a C6.
Did you have another reliable-source? Perhaps you could try to find the truth....
Thanks! Kiefer.Wolfowitz 10:17, 21 March 2013 (UTC)
- It may be able to be played both and Open C and C6, but I know the second lowest string for most guitar players I know for this song is a G, not an A, making it an Open C, I know 911 tabs and UG use CGCGCE (when not standard tuning)–Spesh531, My talk, and External links 20:38, 21 March 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the quick reply! :)
- Those are useful sites, but they are not reliable sources on Wikipedia. If you could look around scholarly or professionally edited resources, perhaps you could find something that you could add to resolve the contradictory statements. (I understand that this may be a low priority....) Thanks again for your help! Kiefer.Wolfowitz 21:12, 21 March 2013 (UTC)
- I believe it sounds better with CGCGCE instead of CACGCE, but that's my opinion. I just played along with the song twice, one with open C, and then C6, I don't here an A in there, I here the open C (I could be wrong, when I try and find stuff for Friends, I keep getting Friends). It might be able to be both, you never put a finger on the string, you just strum it.–Spesh531, My talk, and External links 21:36, 21 March 2013 (UTC)

Third Korean War listed at Redirects for discussion
editAn editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Third Korean War. Since you had some involvement with the Third Korean War redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). Robofish (talk) 16:06, 26 May 2013 (UTC)

editList of proposed state mergers
editHi Spesh351. Let's be realistic aboyut this, shall we? Do you really think that there will ever be a Celtic state, with territories in four or five presnt-day countries? Do you really? This is an encyclopaedia, not a game. Regards, Rui ''Gabriel'' Correia (talk) 12:36, 23 July 2013 (UTC)
- First of all, Spesh531, and second, just because there is a 90% of something not happening, if it is proposed, it is proposed, otherwise change the article name.—SPESH531Other 19:25, 23 July 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, let's change it to "wishful thinking state mergers". Nothing wrong with "proposed" - but it has to be proposed by someone in a position to do so. You can't "propose" changes to your school rules of alcohol and guns, can you? You might talk about it, but will anyone grant you a platform to hear you, and will anyone listen to you? That's the difference. Rui ''Gabriel'' Correia (talk) 23:43, 23 July 2013 (UTC)
- pro·pose
- [pruh-pohz] Show IPA verb, pro·posed, pro·pos·ing.
- verb (used with object): 1. to offer or suggest (a matter, subject, case, etc.) for consideration, acceptance, or action: to propose a new method. That is taken straight out of dictionary.com, you took out things for consideration.—SPESH531Other 23:47, 23 July 2013 (UTC)

The syrian civil war map
editThe entire western side of deir ez zor governorate is under rebel control, that deir ez zor map shows that Assad controls all the neighborhoods west of the river, but not the entire governorate, the rebels even control the Ty 2 and 3 oil fields, the 3 is on the western edge of deir ez zor governorate and the 2 lies near shukna to the south.Alhanuty (talk) 19:13, 15 October 2013 (UTC)
- For this map, I just did a compilation screenshot of the image, and carefully put where the estimated line of control is, and the deir ez zor map showed what I screenshoted, unless it changed—SPESH531Other 21:49, 15 October 2013 (UTC)
How do you edit the map.
- I already said it, you screenshot it, I put it into MS Paint, and you combine the images, (as my resolution is smaller then the template), and I proceed to draw in the front lines, and color in where it is supposed to go. It takes some time, but you should take 4-6 screenshots of the image, (in-case you do not know the button for it, it is "prt sc") and you paste it. —SPESH531Other 18:41, 27 October 2013 (UTC)

editPlanned partition of Asia
editHi! Sorry to bother you. I have a question about this map: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Planned_partition_of_Asia.png I'd like to find some informations about the black line (the "Border Japan proposed"). I knew about the German "Yenisei" plan but I've never heard about a similar Japanese plan. --151.41.165.155 (talk) 15:42, 12 December 2013 (UTC)
