Your account will be renamed

Hello,

The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.

Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Leupi. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Leupi~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.

Re:Sakasa Kebari article

Spinsheet, thanks for asking. Re the images, as a general rule, images should be placed on the right side of the page and in a manner that does not create a lot of white space between blocks of text. Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Images has some useful advice on the subject. One of the challenges we face as editors is that there is a wide variety of devices that display WP content and layout cannot be evaluated based on appearance in one particular device or the other. Thus we rely on accepted style norms for all articles. I merely moved the images to the right in a way that eliminated a lot of white space on the page. Feel free to experiment with other alternatives. I don't share your concern that context with specific sections has been lost. Many articles and publications for that matter have images that aren't in immediate context with text for layout and style purposes.

Re the content of the article. Nicely written and informative. I am going to dive into it a bit more to review sources and such, but on the surface, very good effort. As a fly angler for some 55 years, I have followed the rise in popularity of Tenkara in the US closely. I myself write for some U.S. fly fishing blogs, but I don't promote that through WP. It is evident that you have a very close relationship to the topic and may even be an author or contributor to the blogs listed in External Links section. Your images in the article are remarkably similar to images in the various blogs. I would suggest that those external links be removed from the article for two reasons. You obviously chose those because you are close to them, yet there are a great many more that could be linked but shouldn't. The ones listed are no more important than any other potential blog link. The second reason is that WP is not and should not be used as a method of promotion for any commercial activity (which the last link, The Tenkara Times clearly is). Since this is your first real contribution to WP and your recent edit history shows you adding Tenkara related links to other articles, it is a pattern of editing that suggests an effort to promote rather than inform. New editors passionate about a topic as you are often fail to grasp the importance of the No Promotion aspect of the encyclopedia an get themselves in trouble with other editors through well intended, but problematic edits when it comes to the appearance of promoting a specific POV or commercial interests. We want you to become a productive editor within the WP community. The Sakasa Kebari article is a good start. I would encourage you to read all the WP Policies, Guidelines and MOS listed in the welcome post on this page. If you have any questions any about of them, please feel free to ask. Mike, thanks for the insight. I'll look at the Manual of Style and try and get some ideas. I do want you to know that I have no commercial interest in tenkara fishing. I am not a contributor to any blogs on tenkara fishing (yet) and I tried to only link to pages that were not trying to sell, if I inadvertently did that I will correct it. The images I uploaded were taken by me and should only exist on Wikipedia, to my knowledge they exist nowhere else. I did go through and add links to tenkara and the Sakasa Kebari page only where I felt they were relevant. I in no way tried to force them into articles whereas they did not actually provide appropriate content. I will be more aware in the future when doing so. Perhaps I was a bit overenthusiastic.
