Looking forward to editing with you!

So glad you've signed up for the Art + Feminism Edit-a-thon in Ithaca. If you'll be here in person, I hope you'll say hello to me (Susette) @ Olin Library, or Marsha @ Fine Arts or Brittany @ the Johnson Museum. We look forward to working with you!

Thanks! I am looking forward to the event and meeting you all in person. I work for the Corning Museum of Glass which holds bi-monthly wiki-editing sessions, so I'm getting a refresher right now from our resident wiki-expert at the Rakow Library! Looking forward to working with you again!

Thanks so much for participating in the Ithaca Art + Feminism 2016 project--it was great to have glass artists so well represented. We're really glad you've signed up again! The organizers have given us a new way to sign in this year, so I've gone ahead and signed you up that way. If you're interested in working on a particular artist or two, you can "assign" them to yourself there: https://outreachdashboard.wmflabs.org/courses/Cornell_University/Ithaca_Wikipedia_edit-a-thon

Please let me know if you have questions. See you on March 11! --Susette Unionpearl (talk) 14:14, 18 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Amber Cowan

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Amber Cowan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. — O Fortuna! @Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi: Hi; reading between the lines here a bit, it seems the creator started to type up the article, then got pulled away to feed the cat / stop the kids fighting / have coffee / hang the washing out (or any number of reasons I get distracted mid-edit), so I've finished off what I assume they meant to do and declined the A7 tag. You mean- you assumed they were going to remove the tag from a page they created themselves...? — O Fortuna! Imperatrix mundi. 16:39, 11 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
No, I assumed they were going to complete a more comprehensive version of the article before hitting "save page"; which you wouldn't have thought of tagging as A7 in the first place. As you can see, this editor is working at an art-related editathon today, so I'm sure the article was created for a good reason. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 16:46, 11 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
Thanks so much for participating in the Ithaca Art + Feminism 2016 AND 2017! --we really loved that glass artists were so well represented. Please consider signing up again: https://outreachdashboard.wmflabs.org/courses/Cornell_University/Ithaca_Art_and_Feminism_2018 and of course, do let me know if you have questions. Suggestions for improving

edit

Hi. Please add more references to trusted sources (like this one) to your article Silvia Levenson. It may be deleted because notability of the person is unclear. Good luck with your edits! -- Bbarmadillo (talk) 21:04, 11 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
