In view of Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/September 11 conspiracy theories, please do not edit 9/11 related article to change "9/11 conspiracy theories" to opposing the government conspiracy theory. (GCT has never been used, even in Truther literature, it's always be OCT, but that wouldn't help you if you continue.) — Arthur Rubin (talk) 23:19, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- For what it's worth, I won't be the one to sanction you, but there are a number of independent Admins who are willing to issue sanctions. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 23:30, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
I don't understand why there's a problem. The second of Wikipedia's five pillars states Wikipedia is neutral striving for articles that advocate no point of view. The use of the term "conspiracy theory" is pejorative. Why is the use of a pejorative tendentious term such as "conspiracy theory" allowed to describe challenges to the U.S. government's conspiracy theory, but the use of "conspiracy theory" is not allowed to describe the U.S. government's conspiracy theory? It seems pretty lopsided and not neutral to me. (talk)
- That statement ("conspiracy theory" is pejorative) is considered false by consensus, and it's not the "government" conspiracy theory, or "official" conspiracy theory, it's the mainstream (conspiracy) theory.
Your recent edits
editHi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when.
