Speedy deletion nomination of Orphanages in India
editHello, Sshah11,
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Boothsift and it's nice to meet you :-)
I wanted to let you know that I have tagged Orphanages in India for deletion, because it doesn't appear to contain any encyclopedic content. You may find our guide for writing quality articles to be extremely informative.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.
For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Boothsift}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

Orphanages in India moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Orphanages in India, does not have enough content, sources, and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. —teb728 t c 07:55, 13 February 2019 (UTC)

Orphans in India
editHi. I'm Barkeep49, an editor who does new page patrol. I have just moved your draft of Orphans in India back to your sandbox. Right now it is not an article it's an outline of how you would write an article combined with elements of a first person essay. I know WikiEd has some resources about how to write an article in the style of Wikipedia, rather than an essay. If you have questions about this please feel free to ask me or Elysia (Wiki Ed). Please do not undo this merge without substantially expanding the article
editSshah11, I previously merged your article to HIV/AIDS_in_India, and I have just reinstated that. Your article, with the content it currently contains, is cleary a sub-topic of this larger one, and is not distinct nor expansive enough to stand on its own. There is no added gain or "win" to you from having "your own article"; we have the structure and usefulness of the encyclopedia as a whole in mind here. Your instructor will be interested in the material you used in writing and how you summarized it, not whether the result was a standalone article or a section of a larger one. - Please do not undo this merge unless you aim to expand the topic to the extent that the material would become unwieldy as a subsection. That may well be possible, but I doubt you are going to be interested in putting much more work into this - correct...? --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 23:34, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
Adding citations while editing
editHi Sshah11, I noticed that a few of your paragraphs in HIV/AIDS in India end without citations. Everything added to Wikipedia needs to be cited. If multiple consecutive sentences are drawn from the same reference, then it is acceptable to cite that reference once at the end of the consecutive sentences rather than repeating it at the end of each sentence.
This means that, in general, sections or paragraphs of an article should not end without a citation. That is a red flag to the reader about the reliability and verifiability of the content. I've added some "citation needed" tags to content you've added. It would be great if you could add the source that belongs there in place of those tags. Once the citations are added, the tags can be removed. Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:56, 25 March 2019 (UTC)
Hello, Sshah11. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, Draft:Orphanages in India.
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it. — JJMC89 (T·C) 02:43, 14 August 2019 (UTC)
