Welcome
editHello 7REPTILLIAN7 and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your contributions, such as the ones to the page Encyclopedia Dramatica, do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles.
If you still have questions, there is a new contributors' help page, or you can write {{helpme}}
below this message along with a question and someone will be along to answer it shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.
I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~
); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! Geniac (talk) 02:16, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
Explaining
editI patrolled your page. I went through the enormously-backlogged list of newly-created pages and confirmed that your page was okay: not spam, not an attack page, not a copyright violation, not any of the other reasons for which I would delete someone's page without asking. Then I clicked "patrolled" to remove it from the list of "pages that have not yet been patrolled", and moved on to the next entry. That's all. DS (talk) 22:01, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

editHello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Freakazoid! may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and the articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to Freakazoid!. Readers looking for accurate information will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, please use the sandbox instead, where you are given a certain degree of freedom in what you write. Brerose| Talk 00:42, 28 October 2015 (UTC)

editHello, I'm Nblund. I wanted to let you know that some of your recent contributions to Zoe Quinn have been reverted or removed because they seem to be defamatory or libellous. Take a look at our welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Nblund talk 18:47, 3 September 2019 (UTC)
This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in (a) GamerGate, (b) any gender-related dispute or controversy, (c) people associated with (a) or (b), all broadly construed. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

editWelcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contribution(s). However, as a general rule, while user talk pages permit a small degree of generalisation, other talk pages are strictly for discussing improvements to their associated main pages, and many of them have special instructions on the top. They are not a general discussion forum about the article's topic or any other topic. If you have questions or ideas and are not sure where to post them, consider asking at the Teahouse. This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Drmies (talk) 15:42, 14 September 2024 (UTC)
- This is prompted by your recent edits, such as this, this, and this a bit further back. In addition, there's this insult, for which you probably should have been blocked on the spot. And then there's the edit summaries which anyone can see in your edit history. I could go to WP:AE since you've been warned about sanctions for BLP violations, and the most recent two edits are certainly that. Instead, since these edit also fall under the more simple disruptive/insulting/etc. edits, a regular indefinite block is fitting. So please don't do that again. Pinging Jorm as a FYI.
