Digital Command Control

edit

External links don't need to be listed simply because they're associated with the topic. Second, I did not remove any external links from the paragraphs. You want Geni. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 18:30, 11 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Firstly - maybe not but actually finding who makes DCC equipment is very hard. Many are craft/hobby operations rather than big businesses and having them listed here provides a very valuable resource. If it is against Wikipedia principles to list them then it adds weight to the argument that this info should be all held outside of Wikipedia. Secondly - there was an edit to remove square brackets around recommended practices under your name. Lastly thanks for the info about Geni - I'll raise it with him. That was a redlink, hence why I removed it. Also, it's a very generic term. As for your external link argument, external links aren't meant for advertising, which is what the essence of that list is. It'd be more relevant at the DCC Wiki, not here. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 19:45, 11 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
External links should be marked as such and should not be within the main text of the article. BTW Wikipedia also asks for donations [1].Geni 20:22, 11 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for cleaning up the embedded dcc: links. St1got 08:49, 12 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
