The article Show Cats: The Standard of Perfection has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- A search for references failed to find significant coverage in reliable sources to comply with notability requirements. This included web searches for news coverage, books, and journals, which can be seen from the following links:
Show Cats: The Standard of Perfection – news, books, scholar
Consequently, this article is about a subject that appears to lack sufficient notability.

I was able to find the sources the nominator could not... and I do not doubt that he did try. Starting with discovering a full-length review of this film in The New York Times, it was an easy job after that. If you might revisit the article, you will see that what was sent to AFD as mediocre stub, this has now become THIS... a decently encyclopedic and well-sourced Start-Class article that is now worthy of inclusion within these pages. It might not have before... but it now passes WP:NF. If you agree with my improvements, you might feel confident in offering a "keep" at the deletion discussion. But if you do not agree, please let me know what more I might do to adrdress concerns. Thank you, Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 06:26, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
- It turns out that as author, your proffered title was not quite right, and regrettably bogged down a search for sources. It is actually called The Standard of Perfection: Show Cats... not the other-way-round. A seemingly small diffference, yes... but an important one when performing searches. You'll likely note the many changes I made to the article.[1] The changes were not made to denigrate your own efforts, but to improve the article per Wikipedia's standrds... WP has a preference for articles that encyclopedically share pertinant infomation in a properly sourced manner. And you'll also note I removed your list of cats and cat owners. No offense, but such information did not actually add to the notability and would be seen as trivia (another thing to avoid). Best regards, Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 07:49, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
