Hi Stephen, I've learned there has been (or is) an issue about adding a website on the Andy McNab page. A friend of mine has been protesting (afraid he's been not too polite, but just because it upsets him). Can you please explain to me why this is an issue at all. Wikipedia is for information, and everywhere there are external links to get additional information. Grey Man's Land is Andy McNabs best source for information on Internet. Why can't we link to this site, what is the problem exactly? Hope you can help me here. Kind regards! ACatharina (talk) 18:21, 8 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

I've had no involvement with the external linking issue — that argument is between your friend and another user (and should be discussed and resolved on the article’s talk page). Where I became involved was when your friend made some extremely serious accusations against that other user — sufficiently serious from a legal standpoint that after reverting the edits I reported them to the Oversighters, which is why they cannot be viewed in the history of the articles concerned. —Stephen Morley (talk) 19:22, 8 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
Thank you Stephen. If you don't mind then.. assuming this other user and my friend will not solve the issue, who can I turn to since I feel the website is the best source of information on the net at the moment. If I would add it I'm sure it will be deleted again. It is not clear to me how to solve this, I'd really like a 3rd party to look into the matter. Please help?! You could try bringing up the issue at Wikipedia:External links/Noticeboard, which is designed for handling this kind of situation. —Stephen Morley (talk) 19:11, 10 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
