Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, Stevebenko54. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Julie Benko, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Harobouri • 🎢 • 🏗️ (he/him) 21:35, 27 January 2023 (UTC)

- Most of the reversions are fine but you reverted her birthplace to Fairfield, CT so that it now says she was born in Fairfield, CT and moved to Fairfield, CT at the age of 3. That obviously makes no sense. She was born in Washington, DC. I was there, and can provide you her birth certificate if you want. Stevebenko54 (talk) 22:03, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
- I know it's frustrating that your edits are reverted but are there any secondary reliable sources? Currently, what you are providing right now is a primary source and Wikipedia relies on secondary reliable sources for verification. I re-reviewed the sources and I edited that she was raised in Fairfield instead of born there per a reliable source. Again, if you provide a secondary reliable source, it would be appreciated, and you may re-insert the edits. Thanks! --Harobouri • 🎢 • 🏗️ (he/him) 22:11, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
- Of course there are secondary reliable sources such as her birth certificate but how would I provide this? Stevebenko54 (talk) 22:36, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, a birth certificate would not be considered a reliable source. If there is a post from one of her official social media accounts where she says that she was born in Washington D.C., it would be an example of an acceptable primary source.
