Conflict of interest
editYou have a conflict of interest; nothing evil about that, we all have COIs about something. BUT: you are by definition incapable of a genuinely neutral point of view about what you're doing, who you're working with, etc. The articles that were created by the "role account" reflected that problem; they were promotional, unbalanced and unsourced. If a given person or subject is notable; i.e., fits our standards for biographies or companies or whatever, then go to WP:REQUEST and ask that somebody use the information available in public records (newspapers, etc.) to create such an article. (If the information isn't publicly available, that's a pretty fair hint that the subject isn't notable yet.) We don't care how noble and honorable you or your project, colleague, etc. may be; we all have to play by the same rules. (Those who don't, we call "spammers"; their articles get deleted, their accounts can be blocked, if it's persistent enough then links to their favored URLs can be banned from Wikipedia entirely.) --Orange Mike | Talk 19:55, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
