Hello @Binksternet thanks for flagging this. The informative addition was meant to share with the Wikipedia readers a piece of history for which there is not much information on Wikipedia. While the addition did quote several third-party reliable sources, I see there is an inconsistency indeed with the policy of not quoting oneself.
