RFA thankspam
Thanks for your support in my RFA, which passed with 140 supporting, 11 opposing, and 4 neutral. I will do my best to live up to the trust that you have given to me. If I can ever assist you with anything, just ask.
Cheers!
Extremism paid off.
Sorry to see that your mediation over use of the word "insurrection" came to nothing. I didn't follow all the arguments in real-time, but it seems to me that scholarship is being driven from the project. It's a great shame the rules didn't allow you to scotch some of the arguments being put, and no other administrator came forwards to do so, as they would surely have done if other groups were treated in this fashion. As best I could tell, stubborn extremism with quite unpleasant overtones (apparently arguing that one ethnicity may use a word, but another ethnicity cannot), along with really unpleaasant personal smears, pays off in such cases.
Would it be possible to remove the "collapse box for improved usability" code, since it's having the opposite effect? PRtalk 17:49, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
- I'd actually suggest that the mediation discussion be archived, it's rather long. As for the outcome of the mediation, I can't say that I'm suprised. If there are parties in a case who are unwilling to compromise, that have a "it's my way or no way" attituide, then mediation becomes impossible. I just did a Google search for 24 season 1 cast photo I think... I think it might have been this one [1] - not sure though. SeanMooney (talk) 10:38, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, okay. That's what I thought. Thanks. Steve Crossin (talk) (contact page) 10:39, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
