Deletion of the article you wrote about yourself

edit

Wikipedia is not LiveJournal or Facebook. We do not have "profiles" of our contributors, which is what I deleted. Article space is for articles about notable people, written by objective outside parties with verifiable information derived from reliable sources. It is not a place for something equivalent to a MySpace profile. --Orange Mike | Talk 17:49, 6 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Stokakrishna das

edit

A tag has been placed on Stokakrishna das requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Page move

edit

I have moved the page Stokakrishna das you created to your user-page User:Stokakrishna since I am guessing that you intended to create a user profile rather than a new wikipedia article. Let me know if that was not your intention and I'll have the move reversed (although the page is likely to be deleted under that scenario). Abecedare (talk) 05:02, 27 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sourcing

edit

Wikipedia is written using secondary, academic sources. Your interpretations of Hindu literature are not allowed in wikipedia articles, and you should not fill up talk pages with them either. Please read WP:V and WP:RS. Thanks, Mitsube (talk) 07:26, 31 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Artificial consciousness

edit

The material you added is completely inappropriate for that article. Material of that sort won't be accepted anywhere on Wikipedia. Looie496 (talk) 20:53, 27 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Parroting

edit

"Students like satellites should reflect whatever light they receive from authors and not imprison the facts and thoughts just as the Magistrates imprison the convicts in the jail! Thought is progressive. The author’s thought must have progress in the reader in the shape of correction or development. He is the best critic, who can show the further development of an old thought; but a mere denouncer is the enemy of progress and consequently of Nature." -Bhaktivinoda Thakur If you are going to fill up endless pages with opinions, you may as well form a few. If you're just going to quote your teachers and not engage in issues analytically then you are not helping anyone, least of all yourself. Dig out of your dogmatic hole and realize the world that existed before 1500s Bengal. You can't throw "god's words" at every non-vaishnav article and hope to change any minds. And your obstinance only hurts your ability to preach Caitanya's word as it makes you and ISKCON look pugnacious and stubborn. Every form of Hinduism acknowledges Kapila and Samkhya, and they all have their own views and interpretations. Yours is no better than the next (maybe worse if you can't find your own way there). "...truth does not belong exclusively to any individual man or to any nation of particular race." BV Thakura Iṣṭa Devatā (talk) 06:40, 10 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of File:Stoka2.jpg

edit

The file File:Stoka2.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 25 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
