prod vs. afd

apparently (i just looked it up) this is the deal:

• afd: long and complicated process for articles that takes forever but is important for pages some people would want to keep.
• prod: not as complicated. takes five days and doesn't require a vote.
• speedy deletion (db-attack, db-bio, db-nonsense, ...): can take as short as a few minutes.

i chose prod, but only after thinking about it for a while. there are a lot of WEIRD articles out there that everybody agrees should stay. Wikipedia:Pokémon test is a defense for articles that should stay. here is the deletion page i've been using recently: deletion. ~a (user • talk • contribs) 13:21, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
